Cooked Crack
Concerned mums and dads set the desired study time on the Study Ball and attach it to their child's ankle.A red digital display counts down the "Study Time Left" and the device beeps and unlocks when the time expires. The prison-style device weighs 9.5 kg (21 pounds), making it difficult to move while wearing it. It cannot be locked for more than four hours and comes with a safety key that allows the manacle to be opened at anytime. The ball and chain costs £75 and is sold online at curiosite.com. The website says: "Quite often, students who are having problems concentrating tend to get up every ten minutes to watch TV, talk on the phone, take something out of the fridge, and a long list of other distractions. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/educationnews/5343111/Ball-and-chain-to-force-children-to-study.html Looks to be sold out . I wonder what exactly do you do in case of fire?
Slacky McSlackAss
No way in hell this thing works. How bout instead you teach your children good study habits and not make them feel like a prisoner. Studying shouldn't be mad out to be something that is punishment, you make a kid feel like that than you are just screwing them in the future. BKSkinsFan
I wonder what other devices they have to watch my child so I can sit on the couch and watch tv.
Zhouse
Nothing like having a 21lbs metal ball attached to a kid's ankle so they can concentrate during study hours!!
Pwyl
When I was a kid I would have just figured out how to pick the lock.
twa
I found duct tape cheaper and more effective. wth is wrong with people today? Teach them a love of learning and respect for the incentives/benefits it earns.
Thiebear
You have a location in a room for bookbag and homework. You take out the journal for homework and give them something to eat and drink. You answer questions that they have during the homework. You fill out the journal saying the homework is done upon completion. (Checking it on occasion).. Cooked Crack
I wonder what other devices they have to watch my child so I can sit on the couch and watch tv. Hopefully something bigger than 21 pounds. 21 pounds just sounds light.
BKSkinsFan
I hope the kids that are forced to wear this by their lame ass parents do leg exercises with this ball and chain so they can kick the @#$% of them when they get older.
SUSkinsFan
This is just stupid. My parents taught me good study habits and never had to chain me to anything to do it.
