phishhead
As we all know, our defensive line is filled with solid, yet unspectacular players. Since there are no star players on the line, who do you think will step up and have the best season?
RTerps2002
I beleive Wynn will step it up this season
phishhead
Wynn is capable of putting up good numbers. Didn't he have a 65 tackle-5 sack season a few years ago? My vote went to Noble. I think he'll be a durable, run stuffing DT. Also, he will take up extra blockers to free other players.
The Invisible Poster
Brandon Noble.
skins19
I think it will be Upshaw.
WallyG3
I really think Ladairis Jackson showed real promise last year in the preseason. I know it was just preseason, but I remember saying a couple of times "Damn, who is THAT guy?" He's my sleeper pick.

fansince62
big daddy....but one linebacker will have more sacks than the entire d-line combined....including back-ups!!!
BCS:BraveCaringSoul
Good lord that's a motley crew. I guess we have to hope Big Daddy has a career year.
AJWatson3
BDW: everything i have heard so far is that he learned a lot from Gardener, lost some weight, and is ready to wreck some shop this season!
phishhead
The good news about BDW is what it is, GOOD. I wish we could hear more about Jackson's injury. Because like everyone else, I saw the potential he has. Of course, we may sign a player after June 1st. I don't think that would be a good idea. For one main reason: Champ and Lavar's contracts. Our FO will need their full attention on this, and will also need to save every penny, nickel, and dime to make sure we have the means.
JC
I hope the (GOOD NEWS) about Big Daddy is true. I voted for Big Daddy because I like the name Big Daddy. Jackson is my sleeper pick.
Om
I'm casting my lot with Regan Upshaw. Not so much because I think he'll have a big year, but more because if this DL is going to make any hay, he HAS to. If he becomes a real threat off the edge, and maybe earns the occasional double team, the other guys will benefit immeasurably and add to the mix. If he's at best a standoff against just the LOT, I don't see Noble and/or Big Daddy getting much of a push against the center and OG's. Go Regan. Please. riggins44
My gut told me to go with Noble. Hard to go against the gut of a middle age guy. Reason, he'll be playing for a team that he loves and grew up watching. Last year with the 'boys, LaRoi Glover got most of the attention. This is his chance to step it up and shine.
Phat Hog
Got to go with Big Daddy... he's due, and he'll want a fat extension - but I've been wrong before
buckeyeG
I went with BDW,he should have a better year with Noble next to him & the threat of LA and co. blitzing.

BIGBULL40
I believe Ladairis Jackson will step up this season I think he will come back better after his injury rehab. Good Luck to L Jackson #94:cheers:
poidog22
Big Daddy will have the stats, but it'll be due to Noble taking up his blockers.
Drex
I like Upshaw's fearless attitude and motor. His intensity could definitely help out the defensive line this year.
Henry
Big Daddy has the biggest upside of anyone on the line. He most capable of standing out on a line of role-players. Maybe Upshaw too, but I think BD will be The Man this season.
Dickens
I hope it is Ladarius Jackson just because we desperately need some more heat on the QB from the DE position.
Whiskeypeet
There is no way in hell Big Daddy gets an extension. The man is incredibly overpaid and isn't all that good. To say he is the best on our line really isn't saying anything. I like Noble and even Smith as a third down pass rusher. But these guys are just supporting cast. We need a hoss or two on that line. As far as the guys we have now I like them all....just not as mainstays on our line.
Novato
The Big Daddy has to step it up two notches, since he's the D-Line most veteran player, he has to be the role model of the interior.
