GURU Posted May 20, 2003 Share Posted May 20, 2003 Dan Wilkinson is the key. And the key to Wilkinson is to let him be an every-down defensive lineman. Every time he's been a full-timer, he has produced. When he's been rotated out on passing downs, he seems to become lacksidasical. Under Schottenheimer two seasons ago, I thought Big Daddy was a better player than Daryl Gardener was last season. It sounds like he's preparing himself. When he comes to play, he can be a major factor. My darkhorse pick is Greg Scott. He's got similar athletic ability to Ladarius Jackson, and he's bulked up to over 280lbs after just one season in an NFL training program. He could surprise and become a factor in the pass rush and maybe even develop into an everydown defensive end in the future. Like Michael Sinclair or Michael McCray, maybe he could become a late round find who develops into a starter, or maybe even a Pro Bowler. Wouldn't that be nice for a change?
