Sandman69
Organizations that are looking for a starter at QB don't wait until the 6th round to draft one. They do it in the 1st, or MAYBE the 2nd if they really like certain attributes he has. QBs drafted in late rounds usually end up not being in the league for long or being backups. Only a small number end up as huge surprises and go on to lead a team for years. I wish I had time to go through alot more QBs, but couple quickies Montana - 3rd round Young - USFL Supplemental Draft Warner - undrafted Brady - 6th round ChokeMo (Romo sits to pee) - undrafted Hasselback - 6th round Alot of starting QBs were not 1st or 2nd round picks. AND we all know the number of first round bombs we and others have had. I apologize for the following, LOL. Must have been the alcohol not thinking. The article was from 2006. I thought this was rather interesting "Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger is the only first-round quarterback to win a Super Bowl since Denver's John Elway in 1997-98." knowledge316
He's going into a contract year. I don't think he has much trade value right now. Someone would have to be convinced he's worth a second contract to trade for him. This is on point. No teams will trade anything valuable for an unproven QB who has 1 year left on contract. deejaydana
How about the 3 draft picks we parted w/to trade up and select him originally? Does anyone know who those 3 picks ended up being?
