TheItalianStallion
I do. It's a shame that his last year in the league has been as weak as it has, and it isn't his fault. What a bad way to go out.

F Landry
You know who I feel bad for? Me.**** Mike Holmgren. Whiney baby. I'm bumping your infamous "Do you REALLY think you are going to win?" thread right now. About Holmgren: Yes. He seems like a great guy...and I think will go down as one of the best coaches in the NFL. :2cents:
acuratl1984
You know who I feel bad for? Me.**** Mike Holmgren. Hey Westy, thats a terrible thing to say about the Eagle's Next Head Coach.

Why isn't it his fault? Injuries? Gibbs had to deal with injuries and worse during his tenure, and no one threw him a pity party.

Spear
That's what you get when you announce that it's your last year. He should have either kept that to himself or resigned immediately. Lame ducks make poor leaders.
RIPSean
The guys a millionaire and a future hall of famer possibly, so at least he's got that going for him. But he seems like a good guy so it is a shame he has to go out like this.

Bonef1de
Hell no I don't feel bad for him. The Seahawks have enjoyed their free ride in 1st place of that garbage division for FAR too long. I hope the rest of that div shows them no mercy in their upcoming games. And for the life of me I can't figure out why they start Wallace over Frye. I watched the preseason MNF game when they played SD. Frye got the start and looked extremely impressive against the 1st string D of SD. I know it was just preseason but he has got to be better than a WR trying to be a NFL QB
DWinzit
He has had a job he loves, experienced success and made a ton of money. Why feel sorry?
SonnyJ
Care to answer the question? Don't think it was too difficult to parse my response in order to glean my feelings or my level of sympathy for Mike Holmgren.
CPB
The only thing I feel bad about is that his team beat us twice in the playoffs. HTTR.
Special K
Not really. I mean, it's not like I enjoy watching him do poorly...but I do enjoy watching his team get their butts beat for the sole reason that it shuts up their stupid fans. SlinginSammy HOF '63
I kind of saw this coming. A pre announced final season would mean a lame duck season. I just didn't think it would be this bad
BlueTalon
Oh good grief. Injuries to seven receivers, starting QB and RB and RT, and top three defensive players playing with casts on their hands, and that's all the fault of Holmgren's retirement announcement... pjfootballer
Nah. He has a SB. He's ruled that crappy division for years. Time for some new blood.
ljs
I think it's a mix of the injuries and his time being up in Seattle. Don't feel sorry for him at all.
