NORFOLK, Va. -- Former Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick has been charged with driving under the influence and eluding police.

Police said a uniformed bicycle patrol officer observed Vick and a female involved in an altercation in the car early Friday. When the officer asked for a driver's license, police say Vick sped away but was stopped minutes later.

Vick failed a field sobriety test and was charged with DUI, misdemeanor eluding police, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license. The passenger, Delicia Cordon of Miami, Fla., was charged with being drunk in public.

Vick was released by the Miami Dolphins in 2007. He is the brother of former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick.

Living in Florida, we had a media blitz about him during his time with the Fish...

He seemed to get in trouble in Miami every weekend, and then when he had his "firearm incident" in South Beach, and got realesed, he cried all about it.

All that talent, and no restraint.

Brothers, cell mates, Hokies, and quarterbacks. Way to go Frank Beamer and Mr. and Mrs. Vick.

Keep Tech and Beamer out of it.

Mike got in no trouble while he was here, and while Marcus was given too many chances he was kicked off the team. Beamer made a mistake and learned his lesson, look at Branden Ore--leading rusher, then kicked off the team for off the field issues.

Don't lump them in with the rest of Tech.

Is anyone surprised ?
I felt there was a chance he'd changed, after all it has been a spell since his last incident.

It just seems like these guys never learn..........Except Pacman who has been "saved" by the Cowboys of course.
