I'd only keep 5 LB's right now, because I don't see a sixth one worth keeping. I'd watch the waiver wire to find the sixth LB, but then I would have to release either Erasmus James or Rock Cartwright, both of whom are better football players than our other linebackers: Sinclair, Gatewood, Fincher, and Wallace. However, I did put Fincher on the Practice Squad just a few minutes ago.

As it stands now, Todd Wade won't be making my squad, neither will Ryan Boschetti, or Vincent Fox:(

And yes, you guessed it, I favor Mason just slightly over Cartwright.

The standard breakdown for a Defense is DL(9), LB(7), DB(9). Sinclair will almost definitely make the team. Wallace was released today and Fincher isn't eligible for the PS.

lol, Redskins just trade away a 7 round for Erasmus James do you think redskins just let him go? But Rock Cartwright I want to see let go because He is not better than Mason as a RB and He is only a special team player.

I'm looking to the waiver wire for the 6th LB, because I'm not in favor of Sinclair, as he's found out of position too much. Your right about Fincher's PS eligibility, so he gets the axe, but I like him better than Sinclair. I'll replace him on the Practice Sqaud with Washington, Tavares OL.

We don't owe nothing to Minnesota if James doesn't make the team, and we haven't even seen him play yet, so the jury's still out on him. We should see him play this week though.

Crummey and Richardson were the hardest choices.

For Crummey to make the team, he would have to beat out Fabini and I just don't see that happening this year.

Richardson, by all rights, has out-played Tryon except for the Jets game and I thought they were about even.

The reason I only kept 5 LBs was because Fincher in my opinion has out-played Sinclair, but that doesn't mean much because overall neither of these guys jumps out at me to make the team. Plus, in a pinch, we could play Taylor at weak-side LB and bring in James or Evans. Finally, if we kept 6 LBs, then Rob Jackson is probably the odd man out and no way he stays on our PS. In short, I tried to maintain maximum talent for 53 man team and try some guys on the PS.

A few notes:

-I know I kept a lot of DE's on the roster, but there is no one I want to get rid of and in case of an injury to a DT, Evans can move in and be a decent stop-gap there and whoever we dont keep will likely get picked up somewhere else, so it makes (to me, at least) that we would keep them all.

-If they were both UDFA's, Richardson would get the nod for the 53, but we invested a 4th round pick in Tryon. As long as their production is similar, Tryon will make the team.

-Rinehart would also be a backup OT if necessary.
