909997
When we got brandon lloyd everyone was very pleased and satisfied. After signing randle el a week later people were upset. They were complaining that hes just a good return man with no reciving skills. Now looking into the 2007 season randle el was our best free agent pickup he right now is the #1 WR. He adds alot of new dimensions to this team. His versatility separates him from most players in nfl. He plays much bigger then his size, he makes all the tough catches. Gives us a very good deep threat, as well as the home run return specialist. Iam glad we signed this guy hes quickly become a leader and a great redskin. His emotion and effort on the field is priceless. Only if 10 other guys played the game with such emotion as randle el we would be 3-0. Thoughts? RenegadeTK
in retrospect, ARE was an amazing pickup. when a team wins a superbowl, most of their starters get an instast boost in value.... i thought picking him up would be just that; getting a good player for a bad price.... however, i am more than happy now seeing what he has done for the offense and the special teams. as well as the fact that he is a standup guy
TheGift
Yeah I remember the media saying we overpaid A.R.E. (But they were right about Bumchuleta and Lloyd  )

No_Pressure
haha.... i refuse to lose faith in him without seeing him get a legitamite shot on the field I think it was called the first 9 or so games of 2006 :whoknows: Eh...maybe not...I blocked so much of last season out of my memory he could have gone off for 2,000 yards and I wouldn't remember. RenegadeTK
he had mark "check-down" brunell throwing to him.... if his number 1 wasnt open (moss or cooley) he was gonna dump it off..... lloyd never really had a chance
SonnyandSam
Lloyd is so bad he cannot even make it on the field for more than a half dozen snaps at best.....and Sunday two rejects from other teams will likely play more than him. Hold out hope as long as you want but it is clear that the coaches have absolutely no faith in him.....which leads me to ask....why do you? CM916
I stopped reading at the Randel El bit. People were upset about that? I looked at our '06 free agent class and thought "slam dunk", I think I even had a sig that said: "Washington Redskins 2006 Free Agency and Salary Cap Champions". I don't know where you are coming from. My brother in law is a huge Steelers fan and my dad and I have been harassing him for two years now, thanking him for Randel El every time he makes a play. sikizler
Yeah man I think you're off here. When we picked up ARE, I was like "Awesome, he's young, and he can run, catch and throw!!" When we picked up BLloyd, I was like "Why the **** did we sign a dude off of a team that we almost ran papa johns out of business by beating?" Larry Brown #43
I wouldn't say EVERYONE was pumped about B-Lloyd. I, and many others one here were calling for the team to sign Joe Jurevicius instead. Jurevicius is a bigger target, better character guy, and even though he's battled injuries he's been WAY more productive than Lloyd this year and last. Signing Jurevicius seemed like the obvious move...he just seems like the perfect Gibbs guy. Man, he'd look good in burgundy & gold right now.
