CPstretch
was just checking out the skins roster and noticed that the players weights have been updated from last year... http://www.redskins.com/team/ notable changes: Carter down to 252 Daniels down to 276 Fletcher up to 258 Griffin up to 311 Golston up to 320! Jansen down to 297 Lloyd up to 200 Moss up to 200 (kind of surprising) Portis up to 223 Salavea listed at 337 which seems more reasonable than the 315 he was listed at last year Sellers up to 284! Taylor down to 212 nothing too exciting but in this long boring offseason i figured it would be something to discuss
scskin
Looks like the DT's were asked to bulk up and the DE's were asked to lose weight.
BKSkinsFan
I think I've seen this before somewhere. The number that pops out the most is Golston @ 320, I think he was around 290 last year. If that 320 number is accurate, he is obviously looking at trying to get that starting role next to Griff. He flashed in the preseason and looked like an athletic penetrating tackle, hopefully his gains are mostly muscle mass, and still has some of the athleticism. If so he could be the breakout player on the DL that we need.
Chump Bailey
Golston's at 320 - wow...
Chump Bailey
Moss is at 200! That's incredible. Wasn't he at around 170lbs soaking wet previously?
CPortJGibbs89
Good find man thanks for posting. Big Joe is quite the load. Moss and Lloyd put on some muscle. Portis bulked up as well. Just have to wait and see how this translates onto the field.
Brandon Lloyd Christmas
that is AWESOME for golston. that makes me feel a lot better about that position. thats the size of a guy we need in that middle section. theres no way they asked him to bulk up to 320 to play the 1 gap role. he weighed 292 last season. 28 pounds difference is a lot more to push around. portis at 223 is both up and down. hopefully the extra weight lets him be a little bigger up the middle, but i hope it doesnt hinder his quickness. Tastes Like Chicken
Our WR's are on the juice. They've added 30 lbs of solid muscle each. Must've been all the CJ talk that got them motivated.

BKSkinsFan
i don't know that I'm buying Moss at 200........ya think? I guess it's possible, it's also possible he stepped on the scale wearing steel toe boots and a weighted vest.
mrredskinDgreen
I thought ST was weighing around 230 last season??? why would he lose that much weight. He was already pretty darn fast.
ouvan59
Taylor down to 212 Wow, that's a big drop for Taylor isn't it?
Brandon Lloyd Christmas
espn had him listed at 185. no reason he couldnt have gained 15 pounds of muscle mass. its obvious from the sizes that a lot of key players were asked to get. lloyd got bigger, moss and portis both gained 10+, golston gained almost 30 pounds and salavea ballooned up. their size/weight might just be the answer to the "why didnt we draft/sign a huge DT?". 320 is FAT. wilbur58z
I don't know how accurate the old numbers were....it seemed like they never changed on the web site. I say this because last year I got my hands on one of the rosters they hand out to the media in training camp, which contained the very latest measurements, and the numbers were drastically different from what had been on the web site. For example, they had Kili Lefotu listed at 315 on the web site but close to 350 on the training camp sheet. Salavea was also around 330 at the time. Golston was over 300 pounds. So I think this is the first time they've put the real numbers from the most recent weigh-in on the web site.

Gart Monk
mike sellers at 284 lbs should have a breakout season and be recognized as the premier full back in the league. a true all-purpose full back!
