War Paint
Well, we really need to do something about LG. Hopefully we can trade down a couple of spots and pick up a 2nd. Then use it for a guard.

Fifty Gut
Davis' contract is expected to exceed the free agent deals of Bills guard Derrick Dockery (7 years, $49 million) and Browns guard Eric Steinbach (7 years, $49.5 million).
JoeGibbsThickandthin
Redskins never wanted him. They just drove him around to ride the price up.
Birdlives
Davis' deal is expected to be in line with Dock's. Go cowboys, way to overspend. I wonder if the press will give them as much crap as they always give us when we "overpay".
redman
Good. I'm glad we're not the ones to have overpaid for an underachieving fatty.

Man, I am so glad we didn't splurge on this guy. There has to be cheaper alternatives for LG.
pR0JEkT 21
Well that sucks, I wouldn't of mind to have a 6'6" 366 pound that can play guard since we lost Dock..this blows!!!!!!
skinsfan07
Good. I'm glad we're not the ones to have overpaid for an underachieving fatty. Yup. Hopefully Pucillo or Wade can step in and do the job. Maybe they rotate so that they could last the whole season.
Chick_in_B&G
Grrr...I wanted him. He was the only true starter left. Now are options are what? Mike Pucillo and maybe Todd Wade? I don't understand why Gibbs didn't believe that signing a OL was 'imminent.' However, I have to say, I would never sign Davis to a deal even more lucrative than Dockery's. rlhjr34
ROFLMAO! Deal is going to be for more then Steinbach and Dockery? This dude was marginal at best in Arizona and is getting paid over 49 million? You watch because Dallas is ESPN's media machine they will praise this move. Had we done this deal they'd spin this one totally different. No matter who signed him though 49 Million is just stupid money for this guy. Much rather it be Dallas blowing the cap coin then us. Bravo FO for not overpaying! This will be Dallas' Adam Archuletta signing for this year.

SMOSS89
So the Redskins.......baited Dallas to hike the price by "threatening" to sign him as well? Maybe our FO is smarter than we think
ntotoro
Now yesterday's threads of "man, I hope we aren't the ones who overpay for that guy" will suddenly become today's threads of "man, how could we let Dallas outspend us for that guy?"

HailSkinz1
Good. I'm glad we're not the ones to have overpaid for an underachieving fatty. I agree. I would have been pissed had we signed him for more than Dock got from Buffalo. Let Dallas have him. Hail, H
