Mass_SkinsFan
You're hilarious. You are by far my favorite poster on this whole site. Please don't end your life. The continuance of my life will not be based on how humorous you find me. None of what I've said this morning was intended to have ANY level of humor to it at all. But why would I expect a 23 year old, Socialist Society indoctrinated hack like yourself to understand that.

Surely you know this has nothing to do with your point. On the link to the "Impeach Bush Referendum" you posted, 700,000-something people have voted. If you assume that half the country is voting age and one quarter of those people consistently vote for Democrats, you have about 2% of Democrats and their supporters voting to impeach Bush. That's not a big number.

Sorry for the spin. So, we have two choices. Either you are literally incapable of understanding political parties, platforms, polls, and positions, or you are so absurdly distraught over the ass kicking that you are knowingly pulling things out of your ass in order to assuage your depression. Neither choice looks attractive for you.

The people giving the Democrats their money are the ones who are most fired up to bring back crucifixion and apply it to W. I have a hard time believing they'll stand for the kind of cowardice that's being suggested here. For that matter, I'm pretty sure Howard Dean, President of the Democratic National Committee has called for Bush's impeachment himself.

Three names in a country of 300 million people is a platform or a party? That's brilliant logic dude. You have an incredibly grasp of our political system. Bravo. Really. I think the real question is whether or not any Congress can be more incompetent than the Congress of the last six year. It may be physically impossible to do a worse job. Pelosi could organize Grey's Anatomy TV parties on the floor of the House and they'd still be doing a better job.
redhog
Yes, I want to thank the residents of AmeriKa.I want to thank you for PROVING beyond a shadow of a doubt that the majority of AmeriKans now have more in common with the philosophies of Stalin, Marx, and Lenin than the philosophies of Jefferson, Franklin, and Adams. I want to thank you all for PROVING that this country is rapidly becoming as Socialist and unintelligent as France, Germany, Canada, and the former USSR. I want to thank you all for making this country Less Safe, More Highly Taxed, Less Moral, and giving more of MY money away to people who don't deserve it. To sum it up, I really want to thank the citizens of AmeriKa for showing your true stripes yesterday. You have shown yourselves to be against nearly everything this country is supposed to stand for. You have shown yourselves to be ENEMIES of this country. For that I truly thank you Um, well here you go, I am a conservitive Christian, usually vote with the republican party due to my convictions, but explain to me what the republican leadership has done to protect my border? Since 2001 they have passed a bill to put up 700 miles of fence, on a 2000 mile border that ain't a whole lot. They have done nothing with illeagle immigration, this republican bunch has completely pissed me off, they have had a chance to make a change, and have failed in many areas more then I could ever imagine. They are responsible for the turn, they have pushed America to look for a change. I do not support Nancy and her gang, and IMO they will do a lot of damage in the next two years, but the only people to blame are the elected Republican officals that have had the majority and done NOTHING with it. I grew sick of the scare tactic of the republicans up to the election, " do you really want Nancy as the speaker of the house?" Well what has Dennis done? Jack Squat, so save your blaming of the American people, shove up your butt and blame the elected republican officials.

jbooma
meh... we have a divided government at the Fed level. I am happy about that... but turnout is in large due to the level of polarization our politics have reached in the past few years. I am not sure that is something to be proud of. the government runs better when it is decidede, since both parties have to give a little to get anything done
Burgold
The election is good for the nation for a number of reasons: High voter participation is always a good thing (despite what Republicans think) The fact that polls turned out to be correct this time allays some of the paranoia about the rigging of the elections, especially via paperless voting. There have been too many elected officials going to prison recently and resigning in disgrace. They have been by and large Republicans. It was time to clean "House" The Congress had gotten to a disgraceful level of disfunction. This may not change anything, but it gives change a chance. The legislative branch might become a check to executive power.
The 12th Commandment
Ah...finally someone honest. If the Democrats don't go after Bush, how will you feel? I will feel that I was wrong and he didn't really do anything that horrible if there are fair and balanced (to borrow a term) investigations and they show he didn't do wrong. Funny a dem can have sane perspective isn't it? But again, my money says that's not the case.

It's the government of our country. It's not Entertainment Tonight. They have work to do, given the fact that the Republican controlled Congress sat on its ass for six years and did nothing for this country. They don't have time for your silly blabbering. EersSkins05
So that he'll stop talking about letters and killing himself... Check out this article on Jeffersonian Democracy (tailored after Jefferson and tell me how the Democrats' election threatens any of those ideals. -Checks and balances between the separate branches of government are the best way to prevent political tyranny by the executive or the representatives in a legislature. -A wall of separation between church and state is the best method to keep government free from religious intervention. -The federal government must not violate the freedoms of individuals. The American people got tired of the rubber stamp, do-nothing Congress and voted them out on their asses. (Checks and balances) The Democratic party is certainly not the party accused most often of inserting religious doctrine into governmental functions (ie. prayer in schools, 10 commandments in courthouses.) And the freedoms of individuals (to get an abortion, to make a phone call without government wiretapping, to marry someone of the same sex, etc.) are at far greater risk under Republican representation. These are facts. I want to thank you all for PROVING that this country is rapidly becoming as Socialist and unintelligent as France, Germany, Canada, and the former USSR. I want to thank you all for making this country Less Safe, More Highly Taxed, Less Moral... The fact that the country is less safe now than it was when the Republicans took power has been pretty conclusively demonstrated. (Now that the election is over, wait for James Baker's committee's report which will indicate as such.) North Korea and Iran either have nukes now or will have them soon under this Congress's watch. The Taliban is returning to Afganistan. Terrorist sentiment grows with every day we're in Iraq and every uninvolved civilian that we kill. How can it get any worse? Meanwhile, the Democrats haven't proposed tax hikes at all. (Sorry, Rush and Karl.) They're just going to roll back the provisions of the tax cuts to the wealthiest 1% of Americans needlessly given by this Congress IN A TIME OF WAR. And I doubt this country is becoming less moral by electing politicians that don't come from the party of Jack Abramoff, Tom Delay, Ted Haggard, and Mark Foley. and giving more of MY money away to people who don't deserve it. I saved the best for last. Exactly how much of your money do you think is being given away to for-profit contractors in Iraq like Halliburton on no-bid contracts? The United States Government is giving away more of YOUR money MORE corruptly than at any point in our nation's history. They aren't giving it to welfare moms or public schools, objects of your scorn. They're giving it to multi-billion dollar corporations getting fatter and fatter and fatter off of the blood of American soldiers, and have interested parties in the White House and a vested interest in prolonged, needless war. Wake up and smell the corrupt billion-dollar war machine, dude. To sum it up, I really want to thank the citizens of AmeriKa for showing your true stripes yesterday. You have shown yourselves to be against nearly everything this country is supposed to stand for. You have shown yourselves to be ENEMIES of this country. For that I truly thank you Whatever. lol

DeanCollins
Hopefully it doesn't have to come to that sort of thing Spiff. I'm getting the idea more and more that it's going to take a violent Revolution to correct things here in the US, but I continue to hope that the American people will have an epiphany and start to correct things in a non-violent manner. Unfortunately results like yesterday do not support that view. Ut oh Mass is gona go postal Rational discourse? Rational discourse with flaming, Communist, Socialist, Liberals like you and Liberty?!?!?! I don't ****ing THINK SO. That's not possible. On rince and Liberty? You folks almost had an even greater reason to cheer this morning. As I watched the election results last night I SERIOUSLY thought about just pulling the .45ACP out of the nightstand and ending the pain right then and there. The only thing that stopped me was the fact that the Democrats hadn't officially taken the Senate yet. So you folks may still get to celebrate my eternal demise. On himself I am not kidding. Not at all. I had gone so far as checking to ensure that the proper ammunition was in the gun. We are dangerously close to becoming a country that I cannot live in for philosophical and moral/values reasons. Since the USA was the last hope for those philosophies and values, if the USA moves away from those concepts there will no longer be anywhere for me to live, thus living itself will be useless. The continuance of my life will not be based on how humorous you find me. None of what I've said this morning was intended to have ANY level of humor to it at all. But why would I expect a 23 year old, Socialist Society indoctrinated hack like yourself to understand that. at the risk of calling your bluff, not likely since your ego is way to large (and you're too much of a coward) to pull the trigger, you need to stop feeling sorry for yourself and quit whining. You're one of the biggist victims (drama Queen) I've ever seen. cut back on the coffee and get rid of your guns, you're a danger to yourself and others. most of the above is just sour grapes, eat them there good for your charactor.
