Ghost of
I have an easier, 100% surefire and less stressful way: For those of you who live in homes, without obstruction or weather issues and who mistakenly believe satellite is superior to digital cable and On Demand capability--that might be the best option. Ghost of
I didn't know cable had Sunday Ticket. Funny. But seriously though, many of us don't live in houses where we can set up a dish where we want and don't face S/SE. Others simply prefer the overall product. The NFL continues to make a serious mistake in only offering that service on satellite. ALL other major sports have packages available on cable. ALL of them. Except NFL. SlinginSammy HOF '63
I don't have any preference on style of television viewing I get. I have DTV for the Sunday Ticket only. If the NFL package was to move to some other TV provider I'd move with it. I just got sick of only catching the Skins 3-4 times a year. That sucked. I'm spoiled now. I could never go without 16 games a year anymore.

SlinginSammy HOF '63
agree that DirecTV customer service sucks. We were kind of lucky I guess. Pinpointing the signal is almost a science. Luckily a friend of mine pulls in the signal as one of his many odd jobs and he pulled me in a 97-

Rocky Raccoon
I have DirecTV and it is amazing if your an out of town fan. Best thing an NFL fan can ask for. And I didn't know that your house has to face a certain direction for it to work. I don't really understand that part, but I've heard a few people talk about it. NoCalMike
The Fox feed I am actually able to find/connect to is Fox 8 in New Orleans......so I am guessing you could technically watch the Saints/Skins with this thing.......the thing is, I wish they had more local feeds....... SackMachine
I only lose my signal about 3-4 times a year for about 5 minutes at a time. We use to have it over here in Montreal, too bad it only worked for all 2 months of summer. All of winter, whenever one flake of snow dropped, there goes the television. I live in an apartment, Directv dishes are all over the freakin' complex...also live in southern California, so weather is not an issue lol...and hardly matters about the techno-babble aspects of satellite vs. cable if they both don't show all the NFL games.. ClarkKent
After watching Skins games in the corner of dark sports bars for 15 years, I finally got the Directv package two years ago. I have to agree with the other posters who said it's the greatest way to watch a game, especially if you have a big screen, high def TV. Yes, DTV sucks in other aspects (other sports programming in high def, customer service on the phone, at your house, etc.), but between September and January, Sundays are heaven from noon to 11 p.m. You have the Skins at your house and all the other games you care to watch. Now if only we could start getting our act together and give us pessimists a glimmer of hope!
