Our Drunk Misbehaving Fans

That's the problem with some of you "fans." Kids and toddlers do not belong at an NFL game. Stay home and paint the house or something or take your wifey antiquing.

Nice, what are we the Oakland Raiders? Football is for the Fans dummy, not a place for you to go and prove how macho you are by yell at people who can't hear you. Stop being a tool, football games are for fans of the game, both Young and Old. Deal with it.

Yeah, how strange of us to want to share one of our greatest passions in life (the Redskins) with the people we love the most (our wives and children).

My wife and I were a little disappointed with our experience last night also in section 340. Most people were great and football oriented. But one obnoxious fan was yelling at the players to touch his **** repeatedly and talking about his erection or lack thereof many times.

There were a lot of kids and family in our section. Obviously for the families there, the Redskins are a family tradition. And it's something that we're happy to take our kids to so that they grow up like we did with memories of the team. I hope my son talks about Sean Taylor one day the way I talk about Dexter Manley and Marco Coleman and so on.

I have no problem with people being loud. I'm as loud as anyone. I have no problem with people having fun and getting drunk if they want to. And I personally dont' have a problem with people using the f-word or something in the heat of battle, when we throw a pick or something. We can explain that type of things to our kids.

But I have no idea why someone would want to make such X-rated explicit statements, drawing attention to himself and basically advertising to the whole section what a frustrated loser he is.

He apparently wasn't smart enough to realize no one else (not even his buddies) were laughing with him.

It's all about having enough respect for yourself to have respect for your fellow fans around you who bleed burgundy and gold but don't care a bit about your sexual frustrations. I just hope that guy isn't a season ticket holder.

I can personally assure you that guy will never sit in section 340 ever again. I know because I am one of his buddies that was not amused. He was so wasted he didn't even remember what he said and I told him what a ***!@#$%^ he was the next day. You nailed it, he's got problems, but he is no longer your problem. Promise.

Sincere apologies. That was a pathetic display and I am ashamed to have fostered that crap.

wow, talk about a fan turnout at FedEx like Jacksonville gets

welcome to blacked out games

hey, preseason games can be very slow, drinking with fellow Skins fans makes it worth it

If you only come to the game to drink, then you shouldn't come to the games. Some people actually come to watch football. Stay home and get drunk.

Unfortunately, we all have to deal with the a-holes that go to games. Even if they are fellow skins fans. I found the best way to deal with these people is to actually confront them, let them know kids are present. Usually, if they are any type of human being they pay attention to the kids line. If not, go to the usher.

Midnight judges, that takes some balls to fess up that he was your friend at the game, and at least you did realize that what he was doing was wrong. I was a witness to some drunkiness at the game as well. As I was leaving and walking through the parking lot, a group of guys were walking in the middle of the path of cars trying to leave the lots, a traffic director asked them nicely to get out of the way because he didnt want them to get run over, and they started yelling all kinds of stuff at him, and I just saw several parents with childern look at them, with a look of disgust on their face. I really felt bad because who wants their children to be listening to that nonsence. Pretty much just uncalled for.

Apology humbly accepted, although it wasn't necessary; I could tell you and the other people around him were not amused.

I look forward to meeting you at one of the games this year! We're in row 8, just in front of you.

It's going to be a special year. We're going to have a lot of fun.

HTTR! :point2sky

nice! :applause: way to own up some responsibility... most of us drink, most of us are civil. but occasionally people go overboard and it usually stems from other things not related to football or being drunk for that matter. often people get that wasted to forget their problems and what they end up forgetting is how to act. period. it would have been nice if you had gotten your buddy under control, for the sake of the rest of the section, or at least show him how great Hooters is and get him out of the section. btw, if you ever have problems like this again, they do have stadium personnel and POLICE there... if someone is being overly obnoxious, they will kick them out. i had 2 Bears fans (when we crushed them many years back - Big Daddy Wilkinson's fumble recovery TD run) and all they did was stand up and try to get in my face and security was there in 5 seconds and escorted them out.

There was a Jets fan about 4 rows behind me that was sitting two seats in from the aisle. She got "irritated" that there were two fans that kept getting up and coming back that in the fourth quarter, she refused to stand up and let them go by.

What really bothered me is that the Redskin fans got in trouble because they walked down and took some seats that had been vacated and made a "hand gesture" to the Jets fan. I sit on the aisle and yes, sometimes I get tired of standing up/sitting down to let people by.. but that's the price you pay to sit on the aisle. Geesh.

::shaking head::

I dont mind people getting up and comming back all the time, im in seat 3 # myself, but...

WHEN THEY DO IT WHILE A PLAY IS IN PROGRESS IT TICKS ME OFF TO NO END. I REFUSE TO MOVE WHILE A PLAY IS IN PROGRESS , and tell them exactly why.

If your comming back to your seats, and there is a play in progress, crouch down and WAIT mf'r. If u want to leave, WAIT until there is a break in play, easy enough you would think.

AMEN!! my seats are right at the first landing of section 226, row 1, and i am in charge of our section's security  ... i can't tell you how many times each game someone will park themselves at that first landing and watch the game, oblivious to all the people in the section behind them. do you think you're the only one that came to watch the game? i mean, c'mon people, all we ask is that you use 1/10th of your brain and wait until there is a break in play and then go park your ass in your seat (which you paid a lot of money for), so that the rest of us can watch the game. keep walking up the stairs -- don't walk up that first set of stairs and just stand there -- you make a better door than a window. don't treat FedEx Field likes its yours... it ain't. the only conclusion i can come to is most of these morons aren't season ticket holders and have no concept of obstructing other people's views.. :2cents:

I think the problem with a lot of this is that the people that are offended, in most cases, never say anything to the people that are creating the disturbance. While some may be belligerant idiots, most of us will realize we may have gotten a bit unruly and calm down. If you say something to the person offending you and they don't cut it out then go get security. If you just stare at them and don't have the testicular fortitude to do anything about it then you should have no reason to cry about it at a later time. Just keep this in mind next time you're at a game. I've seen it happen a lot.

If you guys can't deal with a few rowdy fans I suppose the football stadium isn't the proper place you should attend for entertainment. If you're expecting a quiet afternoon with the family for a tailgate/picnic, then you're barking up the wrong tree.

The Skins need a few ass hole fans to keep the opposing fans from invading. Put it this way, I'd rather have obnoxious Redskins fans than obnoxious cowpuke fans! Wouldn't the rest of you?

Maybe watch the game at home, on TV?

I don't understand how some people are equating rowdy fan with drunk, obnoxious, loud, spewing arse-holey behavior. I'm all for rowdy - I AM rowdy, and loud. I scream on defense and sit down and shut up on offense. I scream when we score and scream when we miss one. But I've never screamed at a player or ref to put their lips on my body parts (as someone pointed out, they can't hear anyway) and I don't appreciate it when someone behind me is spewing spit and beer as they do just that. I'm not looking for a quiet afternoon - I love the whole tailgate/game experience. It's not "wine & cheese" (sedate) vs. drunken fool, it's about being a loud, rowdy FANATIC able to enjoy the game in a fun, respectful way vs. drunk, smelly, spewing, spitting, cussing, vomiting, fighting, drooling arse-hole next to you that you wish would just pass out the next time he goes to take a whiz.

And yes, I've done my time in front of the TV, and no, I think I'll continue with season tickets. And for the record, years ago I had my share of games that I don't remember a whole lot about. Maybe it's a maturity thing.

I'm bad about holding my liquor well but I do draw the line where kids are involved. Look, at Fedex field or any venue there can be BAD consequences from drinking too much. The bad language is only a small part of it, it can be a public safety question.

That said, football and beer go together and the kids will know it once 21. Just don't make em grow up too fast.

I agree.. I do the same thing. But this fan adamantly said "I've stood up enough.. I'm not going to let you through. Period." I felt it was uncalled for.
