DoggieStyle
I dread the day that we say good-byte to Gibbs as Redskins coach and guiding spirit. He has three years left on his contract. Do you think there's a chance he'll stay on beyond the three years - or, heaven forbid, not stick out the current contract? One thing we know from bitter experience: after Gibbs, all bets are off. Without him, players will disperse, coaches come and go, disarray ensue. In Gibbs We Trust!
Skillari
Gibbs said he was going to honor the entire 5 years. THE MAN HAS NOT LIED TO US YET!!!! If anything he may step to the fornt office before the 5 years are up but he will be with the Skins for a long time to come.
Critz1407
I believe he will stay atleast until the end of his contract, then we will have GW as heads coach, I don't believe Gibbs will step away completly after either.

Jahbird
I think as soon as he gets one more trophy he is going to hand the reins over to G.W. to assume the role of GM. Kind of the Consiglierie to the skins.
CPstretch
you cant pay gibbs enough for what he has done for this team and city. he has set the team up perfectly so that even when he does decide to step down for good, GW will take over as head coach and al saunders will still be running the offense. bbuzz1962
Guys, lets live for the moment. Quit worying about how long someone will be around. What if he got in his car and was hit by a bus? Let's enjoy the today, and what's going on today. Let's worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. We are lucky he returned. He will be around as long as he wants to be here. I am sure his successor will be ready when his time comes.

Capt Rich Fla
I hate it when I hear someone say "He doesn't need the money", but Gibbs is not here for the money. He's here for one of the most beloved institutions in America. THE REDSKINS!:logo::logo::logo::logo:

SteelerSkins
I would be surprised if he stayed all five years, in part b/c I don't think Williams will wait that long to be head coach again.
Seabee1973
I think he if he does leave early it will be to take the team president spot full time and part ownership
drowland
I think he'll honor the full 5 yrs. Then may stay on in some sort of consulting role. Not a full time FO position though. I think he'll committ most of his time back to NASCAR.
The Animal Trainer
He will fufill his contract. That's all he's ever said on the issue. Gibbs is a man of his word and pending any family or health crisis, I belive he will be here until the end of his deal, then pass the team to Gregg. Probably moves into the front office after that, at least I hope so. He's an elite evaluator of talent, both on and off the field, and an NFL icon. MattGeorge85
All you guys are right more or less. I believe if his health alllows (and he does appear to be healthy) he will complete his contract. If he would get an extention afterwards I'm not certain that Gregg Williams will stick around. Nothing against him it's just that I hear plenty of rumblings that he wants to run the show at some point. If the Skins win a fourth Lombardi Coach Gibbs might step down, there's nothing like leaving feeling like you have nothing to prove.
jschlesi
Does it matter-- enjoy him while he is hear. We are watching excellence.
