Guys like this piss me off. He went to some amount of trouble to show you a photo using seatdata.com, even including a huge map of the stadium highlighting the section, but he went out of this way to mislead the buyer by showing a photo from Section 123, NOT 224. He did this intentionally for the purpose of deceiving the buyer. The seats are actually located about 30 rows BEHIND the camera, and about 40 seats to the LEFT of the camera. They are nowhere near the 30 yard line - they're actually aligned between the 5 and 10. And he can't spell. And feedback of 98.2% sucks. Here's one that one of his customers left for him: "FALSE ADVERTISING-Description of seat location misleading." The seller is a scumbag.

What is it with these people? His seats are not bad for upper level, so why does he have to lie? Why does he claim the seats are on the 30, when they're actually aligned with the 10? If he wants to sell seats in 452, why does he show you a picture from 453? The fact that he is asking $250 less than face, and the fact that he's from Texas makes me suspicious of the whole auction.

Since we all know the tickets have not been printed yet, we know this auction is a scam.

lol this guy has over a half dozen seller accounts, and he has DOZENS of seats that he would like to sell. Yet, not even one has a clear view of the field. Yet, he has sat in all these seats. And he can assure you "minimal" obstruction.

One of his feedbacks: the seller is not honest at all, describes one thing and sends you another

i think what mark is doing is great man...if im gonna buy a ticket from ebay i dont wanna be scammed into doing it mark is just trying to make the skins game enjoyable..thanks for the list:applause:

Collect your thoughts man :doh: Mark is providing a helpfull service that is much appreciated by many here. Unless you are a low life trying to get over on somebody on Ebay I don't see where you could be upset with what he is doing? He also brings to attention good deals on Ebay and brings them customers.

There's a lot of shady sellers on eBay. That's one thing. But it's the outright blatant lies that get to me, as well as the hijacked accounts that appear legit, even to seasoned eBayers. And I sit there and watch, and I see innocent people getting taken for hundreds, even thousands of dollars (see the first auction in this thread). I agree it's none of my business, but it's hard for me to just stand by and watch the thieves at work. So if the thread bothers some people, please ignore it.

Interestingly, I found the following auction this morning.

The timing of this edited listing seems to coincide with Sammy's comment. Coincidence?

Great job on this thread. I'm a seasoned eBayer and I might have a difficult time recognizing these scams. I ask plenty of questions, but that does not mean I would get the truth. Much of the adds are already lies. Thanks and Great job.

Anyone who objects - let them ask questions, be honest and get taken and see how they or their family feels.

The guy is on a REDSKINS board, trying to make sure his fellow fans don't get screwed. He doesn't need to shut up - if he does, there are plenty of staff members here to let him know.

And btw, by definition in a scam the seller is dishonest, so your 'advice' that individuals should just 'ask questions' is ridiculous.

While I agree with you, we live in a world FILLED with dishonesty so someone should Always ALWAYS ask questions when getting ready to put up substantial amounts of cash for tickets. So thats not so ridiculous in my opinion.

True. It is ridiculous to ***** about a fellow fan trying to ensure none of us gets ripped off though....and being told to 'shut up' for his efforts.

Btw, the guy telling his fellow skin fan to 'shut up' has been banned here previously and simply re-registered under a different username. If he'd been able to make his point in a nice way, he'd still be here now. But then, if he'd been able to exercise self-control the first time around....
