mcarey032
I was surprised when they released the pro bowl jersey at the washington redskins stores this week. I was didn't realize that Santana Moss was able to get his number. I thought that Steve Smith would have been able to get his number. Respect to Santana Moss! Does anyone know how they were able to broker out the numbers between moss and smith?
ejay183
What number will Steve Smith wear?
redsand521
I thought they got to wear whatever their number was during the season. Even if that meant having two 89s.
Radskinz
I think the players can have the same number on Pro Bowl but i might be wrong.
SkinsD
That's a great point that I didn't think of. I have seen a Moss PB jersey wearing #89. No way they can both wear that number... I think. I'd like to know how this works.
MSJHWT
I thought they got to wear whatever their number was during the season. Even if that meant having two 89s. That was my thought, too. Ellis
I think it was Darrell Green who didn't get to use his own number the first time he went.

#98QBKiller
Yeah, they don't care if two guys wear the same # since they'll be wearing different helmets.
dreamshatterer
Yeah, they don't care if two guys wear the same # since they'll be wearing different helmets. Thats why the NFL officials granted players wishes on wearing thier # that they had wore all year. Because of the different helmets.
Daanie
I thought they got to wear whatever their number was during the season. Even if that meant having two 89s. Yes, this is right two or more players can wear the same number on a team...this is a fairly new rule in the PB... A couple of years ago there were 3 #31s on the AFC Jamal Lewis, Priest Holmes, and another guy, I think a DB

ChiefPowhatan17
They changed the rules and every player gets their own number from their team. They did this to help the marketing of the game and selling jerseys. :helmet::helmet::helmet:
mcarey032
That makes sense. I seemed to remember back in the day that Art Monk or someone on the Redskins didn't get have their own number so they had to switch it. I do remember Darrell Green having this problem.
