More Complete
Anyone? I noticed that after ever loss there is less and less reporting and/or transcribing of press conferences, etc.
Makaveli
-Says he talks to Dan Snyder every week, also talked to him recently -Feels sorry for Dan because hes been the most supportive -Dan likes the team, feels they have great character, play tough
Makaveli
-Talking about Casey Raubach -Feels this was his best game -Feels Casey deserves to be praised for his play -Defense played extremely well. Talking about the two plays in OT. Says they had one of the best game plans. D Coaches did great job to put pressure on the QB. -"We've lost 3 tough games against good teams" -Special Teams, Offense, Defense are all together -feels we have a lot to play for "How do we bounce back", have a chance to answer that against Rams -Talking about conservative play late in games : "If you dont win theres always going to be criticism" -

I know. Once a week? I thought Snyder would be on the practice field. Maybe he's backed off a bit since his early days.

Makaveli
Haha. Some caller just said: "Please get rid of the punter" Ha thank you. EDIT: Another guy calls in about the punter! Caller asks if Gibbs would consider working with someone like Ron Wolf.
Pete
If he's out there blocking I have no problem, as long as we don't throw the ball to him we're OK. Note to Brunell........ When he's your last choice to throw too, run as fast as you can towards him. Your bound to get more yardage that way

bbuzz1962
Last time I checked, the player that lost the game on an idiotic holding call, wasn't a real good player. Get a grip Joe, and jump down these guys throats. Everybody can't be playing the way you say they are, if they were, you would have a winning record!!! Yeah...I agree...Gibbs is too nice After a loss this week he should be saying "We should have played to win, I hold myself accountable...we need to stop the crucial penalties" something along those lines. Instead, same ol same old "We played our guts out"
zallera
yep...he adamantly defended Casey Rabach for "the best game hes had here in blocking that noseguard" Would you rather him rip the guy in the press? That's how coaches lose teams.
TheLongshot
Would you rather him rip the guy in the press? That's how coaches lose teams. I agree. You are never going to hear something directly negative in the press from Gibbs. If he has a problem, he will handle it in house. Course, he could be happy overall with Rabach's performance for the whole game. One penalty doesn't a bum make. Jason
DCNightHawk
i think Gibbs is really nice and that may hurt him a little bit, as was stated in the above posts, he needs to discipline his team and tell them when they did something wrong. (it wasnt all raubach's fault.. we still had 2 more downs to get back in to field goal range).
zallera
i think Gibbs is really nice and that may hurt him a little bit, as was stated in the above posts, he needs to discipline his team and tell them when they did something wrong. (it wasnt all raubach's fault.. we still had 2 more downs to get back in to field goal range). I'm sure he does, he just does it in-house. Look what happened to Antonio Brown when he screwed up against Chicago. In his first go-around, Gibbs wouldn't think twice about cutting a guy for screwing up, but he would never trash the guy in the press. He can't cut guys now because of the salary cap, but I'm sure he lets guys know when they messed up.
TomE
Gibbs typically does not go public with criticisms of players or staff..... as previously mentioned... he does the dressing-down "in house". Buge's will occasionally "hint" at the behind the scenes stuff..... he mentioned today during his WRC- NBC4 spot that Jacobs was prodded to "step it up" and make some plays, pass protection was emphasized, and perhaps "we" should be a little more aggressive in closing out games. He also reiterated Gibbs' comments on Rabach's play, they're even going send it to the honchos of referdom to get a second look at the call..... Buge's explains how Casey's arms actually "slid down the sides of the defenders legs" .....
