Here's a Richmond result where an incumbent Republican has apparently been defeated by an Independent (I *think* she was really a Republican running as an Independent):

HOUSE OF DELEGATES

District 68

Chesterfield & Richmond Area

24 of 24 (100 %) Precincts Reporting

Katherine Waddell 13,423 50 %

Brad Marrs 13,379 50 %

Interesting, this evens up the defeat of Benny Keister in Pulaski County (an incumbent Dem)

And where Mayor Doug Wilder supported the Republican?

Off topic but why do people hate Richmond? I lived there for 4 years and never had any problems.

Says he looks forward to working with "Mr. Kaine" and that he expects him to keep to his campaign promises and Virginia's values, but if he does not they will play the part of the loyal opposition. He says they will make certain that Mr. Kaine's actions follow his rhetoric.
