chow184
he had 3 tackles according to stats, but I think thats being nice. He was getting pushed around ALOT,and couldnt slip off any blocks by O-lineman at all.He looked like he was getting really frusterated also, saw him throw a few not so obvious punches in some piles after somone(not him!) made the tackle. I think Cornelius Griffin should definately get a piece of the nice fat signing bonus he got. :applause: :gaintsuck
vnmenon1
He looked like he gained a lot of weight
laurent
Yeah, he didn't do much out there. Two of his three tackles came in the final 5 minutes when the game was already out of reach and Schottenheimer was killing the clock
zoony
I saw LT stiff arm him pretty badly on one play... more like a pimp slap  From the looks of it though, SD has one heck of an Offense. But yes, he did look terrible.
Doctor ToughLove
Oh what a surprise, you mean Antonio Pierce isn't doing as well without Williams, Griffin, Washington, Springs & Taylor around him. Far too many people were crying about the Redskins letting him go. He injured into his job, didn't even beat out Barrow. It's a good coaching when you make a player like that look that good. Got to love Greg Williams.
Burgold
I am a fan of Pierce. I love the undrafted guys who make good. He had two very nice years with us and I wish he had stayed. He'll be okay.
ntotoro
He's getting exploited here in the same ways he did last year. He isn't as effective against the better backs, but now he doesn't have Griffin and Salave'a in-front of him. Great brain, but just not physical enough to do the same things in a different system. Bettis pushed him around like a rag doll last year.
TD_washingtonredskins
Yeah, Pierce is a good linebacker and deserves to start in the league. He doesn't however deserve the big bonus he got. I hope he stays healthy and has a good career, just not at the expense of the Skins!
tr1
I predict we'll be running right at him...
Tom [Giants fan]
Give me a break. The whole Giants defense was abused last night. The first two games Pierce was a monster all over the field. Convenient how you point this one out.
TSmithTheReal#36
I think pierce is a very good linebacker, but he did have a bad game last night. He was Missing tackles and he couldn't cover anyone. Gates abused him all night and he was supposed to be covering McCardell on one of his 2 TD's. I think it was the one LT threw to him. Y100Rocks
I said last year he was over rated and I got yelled at.

Convenient how you point this one out. Tom, in all fairness, we haven't been able to watch all three games down here. Sunday night was really the first attempt to watch the Giants' D (other than maybe a little bit last Monday). The knock on Antonio was his size, not his brain. Doesn't matter if he's all over the place, which he should be as a MLB. He did get abused here by better backs last season, which brought up worries about his size again. Y100Rocks
Well, you know I still think he is a core giant...
chaj70123
I agree with tom he is a great MLB, he had two great games and goes up against LT the best back in the league and has a bad game. LT does that to any defense when he gets 30 touches. The last 2 games he was not a big part of the offense, they lost.
chaj70123
Look how bad the Giants defense was last year. He made a big improvement to the defense. But he will be exploited against the Redskins
Boss_Hogg
I never heard his name mentioned once...I even forgot he played for the Giants. Boy, talk about a medicore player who profited from a great defensive system.
Jon T.
I wish he were still here but not at that price tag. You can make still make a case that Smoot was fairly-priced. I am fine with Lemar at MLB.
