skull1669
The Redskins, who were in a 1-14 funk against the Cowboys and winless in Dallas since 1995, already have three passes of 39 yards or more this season -- all to Moss -- after generating only five in 16 games last season. Their longest scoring reception was 18 yards last season, a mark Moss and Brunell shattered in the final four minutes Monday. Their longest completion last season -- when Washington ranked 30th in the NFL in total offense and 31st in yards per passing attempt -- was 51 yards; Moss has two catches of 52 yards or more in his first two games with the club. Moss is tied for second in the NFL with 255 receiving yards -- two behind Oakland's Randy Moss -- and, following his 159-yard game against the Cowboys, leads the league with 28.3 yards per reception.[/color]

TD_washingtonredskins
We have 4 of 39 or more actually. We have the 3 in the Dallas game and the 50+ yarder vs. Chicago.
ZkinsFan
hopefully we'll build on that.

jrfriedm
Wow!! Not bad for a team with no Wr's and no offense.
Dead Money
They forgot to mention Owens at 255 yards too. Its funny that Owens and Moss have the similar stats but I don't feel nearly as confident about Moss as the Bird fans do do about Owens... I hope that changes! redman
That's OK. Let's just have everyone keep thinking that our offense is 99% stagnant, and only 1% explosive (as measured by game minutes). They'll never see it coming.

MRMADD
Moss looks great. He looked great against the Bears, too: not just speed, but unreal moves. The rest of the league is taking notice and will focus on him, so we need the rest of the offense to step up and take advantage of the extra attention defenses will pay to him. He's obviously Brunell's favorite target.

TD_washingtonredskins
Coles is still mad because Gibbs doesn't throw the ball deep.
GhostRider
Our old championship teams would be all about grinding yards and going deep in the passing game. Hopefully Brunell can start making some plays and we get this offense going.

We need to keep going to the long ball a few times each game to keep defenses honest which will open up some room for Portis.
ArmchairRedskin
Well we got Moss exactly for that reason. Hopefully we can get Patten and maybe even Jacobs involved in the long ball game. Imagine if we get those types of plays regularly. Portis will become a beast.
Earthcat
OK, now let's get some of those 50+ in the first three quarters.

I figured it was a cramp due to dehydration in an extremely hot stadium rather than a pull, but who knows?
Jimbo
So when are we going to start throwing it deep to Patten too? I thought Brunell did throw one deep to Patten but, like the first one in the end zone to Moss, it was about 2 or 3 yards underthrown and was defensed by Anthony Henry.
