Isifhan
Just curious to see if anyone plays Blackjack on a consistent/regular basis and would have any experience using the progressive betting system by Donald Dahl and their results. Anyway I would be interested to know
Kilmer17
Like any gambling system, it relies on constants. Most Casinos in Vegas now have random shufflers, so the systems are out the door. You also must have a huge bankroll to start. The systems (all of them) do not guarentee wins, just a small percentage of excess probability over long periods of time and money. Stick to Craps. It's more fun and easier to get drinks.
The Evil Genius
Or low limit texas holdem (like a $3,$6 game).
Isifhan
Actually the system that this guy advocates doesn't require a large bankroll at all really and most of the shuffles in AC are still done by hand from what I can see. I don't pretend to understand Craps yet so I would loose my money faster there than in BlackJack
The Evil Genius
Find a low limit craps table and play the pass line with odds (place the odds bet after the comeout roll) - and you shouldn't lose too much. Suggest if you are serious about playing craps you either watch in person for awhile or download some freeware games.
Kilmer17
http://www.getlyrical.com/general/free_casino_games/free_online_craps.html This is a good one. Craps is the only place in the House you can place a bet where YOU have better odds than the house. Just heed TEGs advice. Stick to the Pass and Come lines and max your odds. Every other bet ont he table is a sucker.
SoCalSkins
Originally posted by Kilmer17 Stick to Craps. It's more fun and easier to get drinks. I disagree. I refuse to play any game where your drink must be held under the table. Plus standing for hours on end isn't much fun.

Anyway I would be interested to know If you do the math, the long-term odds of the progressive betting system is roughly 49-51 in favor of the house. So no matter what you do, the house will always win in the long run. If you try it and come out a big winner, walk away and never use it again because I guarantee you that you'll eventually lose money.
phanatic
Buy THIS book. Several count strtegies, one of which will take you years to master. There are no other strtegies as complete and comprehensive as the Revere 10 count. MIT was involved with developing the probabilities on all decks (this was done decades ago). If played properly, you will have a 4% ADVANTAGE OVER THE HOUSE ON A SEVEN DECK CHUTE. This book will walk you through EVERY hand for there is a specific way to play each one depending on the count and cards.
GSF
I also have the best luck with craps. Craps and slots is the only way I ever win. I like playing blackjack and other card games for fun, but I always lose my shirt playing cards at casinos.
