  1. Mitchell Parker is going steal Cy Young votes away from Trevor Williams. Sad!
  2. Would be amazing if they have drafted some rotation pieces: Parker, Irvin, Cavalli, Rutledge. Also, a good day to take a CJ stolen base bet at +205.
  3. Something’s gotta give. Garrett is hitting in Harrisburg. They need to make room for him and Wood. Rosario makes sense. Then you gotta find someone else. And then Robles should return at some point.
  4. Really good baserunning by Nunez. He knew he’s scoring if the ball lands and knows he has to get to third if they catch it.
  5. Haha. I was ready to release Thomas then he makes that throw. Wow. Question: do you pinch run Nunez for Gallo here and see if you can steal third?
  6. Evidently it’s come out that the ATF agents didn’t have their body cameras on which is a violation of their policies.
  7. Haha, it’d be quite poetic if Nunes becomes the target of these “retail investors”.
  8. Abrams, Winker, and Garcia with a sprinkle of Adams are the only ones giving them any offense. If only they had an OFer with pop in the high minors.
  9. He should be. Not only did Gallo get his AB taken away from him, they got screwed on the SB call.
  10. Haha. That last line about Gore was definitely sultry.
  11. If they waited until this year, you don’t get anywhere close to the return that he got. You definitely don’t get Abrams, Gore, and Wood. You may get a Susana and some other filler.
  12. Which kind of surprised me because for weeks Mike Florio has been talking about the kid acquiring the Cocoa Puffs as if it was a done deal.
  13. This is the genius of Trump at work. Commit soooo many crimes that it will take his Sandoval hearing 30 years to complete.
  14. Irvin was really impressive. I had the feeling that his last outing was a function of a poor Oakland team, but to do this against LAD is quite encouraging. Series win in LA with the two winning pitchers coming from their draft. Rutledge went two innings again tonight. Great news that he’s back. Bad news is that it’s another short start (rain). Hard for him to get in a groove.
  15. Hope they call up Wood for Friday. Definitely thinking about going. Abrams and Winker are really swing the bats well. CJ just lined out to RF, and I think it was a better swing than his homerun.
  16. There is so much wrong with this. The Oscars were over a month ago. “Commonly known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME”. Wouldn’t one state the disease, then say commonly known as the nickname or abbreviation? Jimmy Kimmel was the host. Al Pacino announced the Oppenheimer win. Kimmel and Pacino are two different people. They don’t say “and the winner is”. They say “and the Oscar goes to…”. What a ****ing ****stain.
  17. I guess this is the thread for it. Evidently Bud Light is IN and now Bank of America is OUT. BoA shut down John Eastman’s accounts and MAGA is freaking out.
  18. I didn’t hear their show, so I’m not sure about context. I understand and agree that Williams most likely won’t take you deep into games, but I felt that his hook against Oakland was too soon. They were up five to a light hitting A’s team, he let two guys get on base, so what. Let him work out of it. His pitch counts don’t matter like they do for Gore. A third time through the order shouldn’t be a hard rule. Yeah, you don’t ideally want to face the Dodgers a third time, but a team like Oakland? It’s going to be really tough to get through the season when the pen has to pitch 4+ innings every night. If that’s going to happen, I think they should have more multi-inning relievers. A guy like Adon (who had a nice start tonight) or Herz or Spencer Watkins would work well in that role. It’s tough to go through a series with nine relievers and you have one guy pitch three games in a row and another pitch two, warm up in the third, and then pitch the first game of the next series. At the same time, you have two guys who didn’t get an appearance against Oakland. In an unrelated non-bullpen note, Hassell and Crews were a combined 0-8 heading into the ninth. Hassell triples and Crews walks ‘em off. Almost as exciting as watching Young score from first on an Abrams triple.
  19. Can we give Luis Garcia some love? This is a guy who was massively disappointing last season. Many people wanted to move on from him, but he is mashing early this season: 8 XBH, 143 OPS+. He made two wonderful plays in the field last night. A very encouraging start to the season.
  20. What a night for Mitchell Parker. Five IP, 2ER, 4 Ks including Betts twice and Ohtani. No walks. They don’t need the fifth starter for a bit. But just keep him up. He’s earned it. Not like the extra reliever will get in anyway.
  21. That’s awesome. Imagine making your debut and you have to face Betts, Ohtani, and Freeman as your first three batters.
  22. Sounds like it is. Probably makes sense to fly him home now and see if he can if he can go on the homestand.
  23. Lots of changes for the Nationals heading into LA: Mitchell Parker Nick Senzel Drew Millas up Amos Willingham Trey Lipscomb down Kiebert Ruiz IL
  24. https://www.avclub.com/rob-schneider-comedy-routine-too-raunchy-republicans-1851411475 Rob Schneider is enjoying his freedom of speech, MAGA style.
