No for 2 reasons 1.) Its not a traditional time to hire a GM. You won't really see anybody hire a GM b4 the end of the regular season so we are not falling behind anybody by standing pat. You'd probably piss off the shadow fraternity by poking around executives of other teams right now. Good way to get your org blackball'd. 2.) Ron's contract is prohibitive, as he has GM-like control. You can not bring in a true GM as long as Ron's current contract is on the books... meaning your hiring a neutered dog. If you can convince a guy to sign and be that castrated animal and assure them that you'll expand his role after Ron leaves, OK, but you can't give it to him right now. Maybe that effects who you can get. I don't see a reason good enough to deal with those headaches.

The one major thing about Devito that stands out to me is the absolute willingness to give up on plays and yeet balls outta bounds. It is really rare to see a young guy, especially a dude who is not a high asset commodity that is guaranteed burn and is just getting his "one shot", to be that willing to not do everything in their power. W/ the Giants sieve of a line, his willingness to just let a busted/bad play only be that and not a disaster is preventing a non-productive offense from being the supermassive black hole that it could be. Mac Jones was actively shooting his team in the foot by forcing stuff and making bad plays worse. That willingness to kill a play is just what the Giants need right now.

Offseason fittin' to be wild. Between the massive amount of player personnel holes, the entire coaching staff purge, the FO dump, and the vital improvement of team facilities plus the continued work at Fed Ex that needs to be done, we are set for insane amount of turnover, probably more than I've ever seen before. Not to mention all the other changes that are probably gonna occur too. We got cap space, we got a owner willing to spend some cash and we have draft capital. Hopefully that gets capped w/ a really high first rounder. And on top of all that I'll finally... FINALLY... get that new Jumbo-tron we so badly need.
