  1. He did well when tasked with doing those NFL passes. He just didn't have to do it as often. This isnt exactly a situation were he struggled. It remains to be seen if any of them can be legitimate passers in the NFL.
  2. @SoCalSkins I don't expect change b4 the season. Change aint instant. Every problem labeled on every prospect is something I expect to see in the earlier parts of all of their careers. The question is whether they can overcome them in time
  3. Not much concerned that he has not done it yet. Bummed that he didn't, but nothings gonna change in a month so whatevs. As long as I get the data. I don't think JD will weight in at a number that disqualifies him in my eyes. Weight has never been nearly as important to me as it is for others so unless a prospect is straight up Forbes, "get that starving man a cheeseburger", sized 167lbs... yeah. He'd have to come in at like 190 at 6'4. Teaching good decision making when running is the far more important thing in my eyes. Without that, I don't care if your built like 250 lbs Anthony Richardson your gonna get broken whether you weight 200, 210, 220... Same goes for Maye, just to a lesser degree.
  4. That's why Daniels is such a rare breed. He is exactly that. Practically all these other "uber level" dual threat QBs that come out of college are runners that you hope could develop into at least decent passers. Daniels is already beyond that. He is a pocket passer who can run. Dude just put up one of the most prolific passing seasons in FBS history entirely from the pocket. I could basically count on one hand the amount of prospects that have displayed both the aptitude and production in both passing and rushing on the level JD has. The thing I like most about JD is that if you take away Daniels X factor, he's still a good prospect. Mechanically refined, progression proven, wildly prolific and great decision making as a passer. Gimmie that all day.
  5. I have not studied JJ at all and I don't plan to. Not even on my radar as an option. Big 3 or bust.
  6. Outside of 1 very odd situation Mariota is known as a wombo-combo of boy scout and choir boy. I don't think we have been given any reason to doubt his mentality before the incident, and we have someone on staff in Johnson who has directly worked with him and was likely consulted about such an acquisition beforehand. Dude is known to be uber friendly, a hard worker and a generally good guy. I'm not worried about him.
  7. Good on the Vikes for pumping up their ammo reserves to move up, but I still don't see any of the top 3 moving out to make Williams/Daniels/Maye available to them. All these teams like the Raiders and Vikes can like the higher end QBs, but they gotta convince some QB needy team to vacate to get one.
  8. There is coming in swinging and there is THAT 48% Maye 48 % Daniels 2% Caleb 2% anything else
  9. A bidding war where the end result is a pick swap... That's like the Anglo-Zanzibar War of bidding wars lol
  10. My OCD kinda wants me to see us collect a 4th rounder from somewhere. I don't like having pics in the 1st 2nd 3rd and no 4ths.
  11. Magic Johnson is 6'9 Why would we trade Howell when he has clearly hit a growth spurt?
  12. Hmmmm... lost the net gain of QBs acquired when we got Mariota. Don't have enough arms on the roster again... Who is available and dirt cheap?
  13. @Koolblue13 don't pull a @CapsSkins on us w/ the thread title bruh! We demand instantaneous updates!
  14. Bah Sux to lose Howell. Wanted to keep him. ... At least it forces a section of the fanbase to align to the new guy. Wish him the best tho.
  15. I luv how ES is a multicultural mixing pot but I gotta say its weird seeing how Daniels is spelled across various languages.
  16. Loved how Mariota touched on his value as a mentor to other QBs if called upon. That was huge for me in terms of the Vet we were gonna bring in. It was my #1 mandatory quality. Marcus has been in situations where the team had a young signal caller that was understood to be "the guy". Last year in Philly w/ Hurts comes to mind. He knows how this is gonna work. He said he would always like to start as a competitor but made sure to point out that he wont let his own ego get in the way of what is best for the team. Side note, age looks like it hit Mariota w/ a stick. Man's got Salt-n-Pep hair lol That suit choice don't help either. Old soul. Had to double check if he still had those legs last year, and he does ^^. I'm a happy camper w/ this. I wanted Mariota for years.
