  1. Footy is missing because it is! No footy after Rd 1 and at this stage, there will be no footy until at least July. The COVID situation will be looked at by 31 May, and the players will need about a month together to get back in to 'harmony' with each other. The same goes for the 'minor' leagues - VFL, SANFL, WAFL, NEAFL - and the women's - VFLW and other state leagues. Even the metro and country leagues have 'shut down' and their starting date will be determined by what the AFL does. Vegemite is missing because there was no call for it (unless you were having toast, or a cheese-and-vegemite sandwich!)
  2. I said 'sometimes', not at all times! I quite often have one shower a day, but when I have to 'do two's', I'll have a shower when done. Today, for example, I've had two showers, but I'll only have one for the next three or four days! Unless you are a dietician, I'm not going to change my diet because you say I should!
  3. Only pensioners and employers get a stimulus payment from the Australian Government. Pensioners, because we struggle at the best of times, and employers in a bid to keep their business's open. The regular working class citizen doesn't get anything because the Government is concerned that if they got it, it would go straight in to their savings and not be used as intended. We used ours to stock up on basics, amongst other things. Speaking of which, if any of you are having trouble obtaining basic food items, try bulk stores. We had a delivery yesterday and we won't be running out of pasta for quite some time. In fact, we purchased so much, we had to go and buy plastic tubs to store it all!
  4. If self isolation goes on much longer, it will be parents who find a cure for COVID19 before the scientists do! For anyone running short of bum fodder, have a shower to clean your arse. That's what I do which means I sometimes have two - three - four showers per day.
  5. A good photographer will take a great shot on anything, whereas a poor photographer will think that the best equipment will take the best shot. How wrong they are! I have a Nikon P900 which did what I wanted, at the time. Since I no longer take photos, my camera is just gathering dust!
  6. I used to take photos of local aussie rules and cricket, but have stopped doing so as my injuries have gotten worse and prevent me from even getting out of my car.
  7. Been there, done that! We would go naked bowling once a month, as well as naked swimming, about 20-25 years ago. It's nothing new. We would also play squash, but 'things' would get in the way. At nudist camps, there would be tennis courts, a volleyball court, badminton, and other sports that nudists play.
  8. With businesses shutting down, and kids not going to school (holidays here in Australia), parents have been warned to keep their spawn at home. Parents will find a cure for COVID=19 before the scientists will!
  9. Here in Australia, the police have been given powers to fine people not following the social distancing law. Everyone is expected to stay at least 1.5 metres away from each other, and the police are making house calls to ensure that people are abiding. As well as that, they are fining people if they find more than the necessary amount of people are in the house. Police are also setting up roadblocks to ensure drivers are travelling as per required by the law: to work, to shop for essentials, to doctor;s appointments, etc,. Already some have received fines for travelling just for the sake of it; just to get out of self isolation at home. Personally, I only go out to pay the rent/pay the bills, and/or go to the chemist. I don't go to fill up my car for the sake of filling up, even though fuel can be got for less than a dollar per litre. This 14 days of self isolation is like a walk in the park for me. It's even easier for my missus! What I have found is that the delivery of the weekly shopping has changed, to up to five days late, because EVERYONE else has discovered home delivery.
  10. I'm a nudist (have been for 30+ years) so is it any wonder that I find all the above articles to sensational journalism, at best! The one thing that makes people read the articles is nudity!
  11. Last night I watched Bloodshot, with Vin Diesel, followed by Birds Of Prey. Both are action films, with a bit of blood and guts thrown in.
  12. Not a movie, as such, but more a documentary, but I just watched Long Gone Wild, which is about the misuse of killer whales at places like Sea World. If you've seen Blackfish, this is along those lines. The storyline is as follows: Despite key concessions by SeaWorld, its orcas are still performing every day, and in Eastern Russia the magnificent killer whale is hunted for sale into the exploding marine theme park industry in China. Witness an in depth look at the case against captivity, The Whale Sanctuary Project, and covert missions on the high seas and in search of nine orcas held captive at a secret Chinese location.
  13. I got banned from a popular social media site (FB) for reposting an image I originally saw on FB! Go figure. I also got a perma-ban from BGO so I returned here. It's only natural to post on this site as I often visit nfl.com, which leads me here.
  14. Here's our 'Goldy' on the day of our wedding. All of 16 months old as of Dec 2011. Yes, we still have him.
  15. Here in Australia, there are a lot of Chinese born doctors in our hospitals, and parents who have had reason to take their children to one of these hospitals have refused Chinese doctors for fear of contracting the corona virus. If that's not racist I don't know what is!
  16. Replace thread with forum. Why is this different to a 'Washington Hockey' thread? Can someone, anyone, explain that for me? I got razzed for posting something less! There is also one for MLB. Shouldn't that be under 'Washington Baseball' or 'Baltimore Baseball'?
  17. There is a dedicated thread for this, it is called 'Washington Hockey'. Is it too hard to put this there?
  18. Did you know that The Yardbirds became Box Of Frogs in 1983, and released their first album in 1984?
