  1. So are Raptors and the Saber Tooth Tiger the Predators use and Dire Wolves were huge, bad-MFer wolves. I don’t care about the GRR Martin connection and I watched the show and read the books. But, I’m sure that’d be an appeal to some. Also, Dire Wolf is a great song.
  2. Haven’t seen just “Wolves” on any of the surveys. That’s too bad. I’ve started to lean that way more than Redwolves.
  3. Ugh. Gonna have Steve Perry’s profile on the helmet
  4. I would definitely be down with Washington Wharf Rats. I’d buy the hat, the shirt, the jersey, and the sticker. Best name yet.
  5. The thing about “Wolves” is that the Redwolves camp still likes it and the Anti-Redwolves camp doesn’t seem to mind it. Also, the Warriors people get their alliteration. As long as the logo wasn’t a corny wolf but something cool, it would be popular amongst most people. The folklore of Native Americans returning as wolves after they pass also adds a very cool element of the old name passing on and returning as a wolf.
  6. It’s surprising to me that some people want to revert back to Redskins. The team looks like it’s turning a corner for the first time in over 25 years and that name had just become a distraction and a headache, even if it gave some positive nostalgic emotion to you, it needed to go and it’s over. I’ve been watching since Jack Pardee was coach, so I get ALL the arguments and polls and intents that have been reiterated at nauseam. I’d take WFT or “No Names” over that (at best) antiquated term at this point. My choices: 1. Washington Warthogs 2. DC Commanders 3. DC Direw
  7. In Fitzpatrick’s bouncing around career, has he ever had an opportunity on a team with talent on either side of the ball? Not saying Washington is loaded, but the defense is a LB away from being elite and the offense really just lacks (outside of QB) a #2WR, #2TE, and maybe a LT (along with O-Line depth) from being at least solid. Saying if he wasn’t asked to be Fitzmagic all the time, maybe he wouldn’t be Fitztragic some of the time. He’s a smart dude, that’s now seen a lot of football. Like the post above, I also was thinking about how Joey T did it for us later in his career. But, he was set
  8. never cared for Warriors. Just kinda boring. I’ve liked Americans, Redwolves (Wolves or DC Direwolves), and Commanders as my favorites. But, the more I think about it, Warthogs seems like the best choice. It fits us.
  9. Well at least we have a QB with some personality now. Could make an argument with RGIII, but it’s really been since Joey T.
  10. Arggggh. It’s like: “Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less. Same difference.”
  11. “I was today years old when I learned that...” ”I bet none of my friends have the guts to share this” ”read this before it gets taken down” “Physicality” The term “gaslighting” used incorrectly
  12. I feel like the Texans sent that out deliberately towards Washington. They want to trade with the NFC. But, this is the beginning of the negotiation. Washington could come back and say, “No. two firsts. A second and two thirds and a fifth.” Houston scoffs. Eventually, something in the middle is agreed upon. Maybe two firsts. A second. Two thirds and Payne. Honestly, it’s gonna be difficult retaining all these D-Linemen anyway as their rookie deals start coming to an end.
  13. What if we really tried but couldn’t get Watson, because our efforts motivated Jerry Jones to sign Dak, and then trade him and some draft picks for Watson?
  14. this doctor gives a good explanation of the likely injury. Sucks. https://www.nfldraftdiamonds.com/2020/12/antonio-gibson-3/
  15. Who are the outside linebackers? Seems the D-Line is set. Safety is pretty set. Corner is.... okay.... wish there was a “shutdown” guy. And if Reuben is there, middle LB looks good. But, who are our OLB guys? This D could be insane, like all time, with two more pieces.
  16. People really think that we can have a stadium 50% jerseys from Philly, Pittsburgh, Dallas, or NY, but they’ll ban Redskin stuff?
  17. Here’s an interesting read of what Seattle just went through to end up at Kraken including taking into account fan’s opinions https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/29520108/how-seattle-nhl-team-became-kraken
  18. I’m so tired of the false equivalency of the name Redskins and other team names that people mockingly portray to find offensive. Redskin on its surface is taking many people, from different parts of the continent, different tribes, different cultures, different beliefs, different folklore, different spiritual philosophies and lumping them all together by the complexion of their skin. We, as fans, don’t see it that way and it was never intended that way or to be disparaging in any way. But, that is the outward perception.
  19. I say we go all in. Make the team name officially The No Names, get rid of the players names on the jerseys (like some prestigious MLB and NCAA teams). Numbers only and the numbers on the helmets.
  20. What if they did well this season? I know, I know. 3-13. New coach. Hardly an off-season, no preseason, young team, not enough weapons, not a great O-line. Blah blah blah. But, just a fun hypothetical, let’s say Super Bowl. Then, they’d have to keep this No Name because of the success or it’d be this team that only existed for a single season but would permanently be documented as a sort of future trivia question.
