  1. That was an awesome video. Thanks. That should be a standard every throw of the game replay angle. Also, that deep ball touch. Crazy. I think I want Maye, but if we take Daniels, I'd also be very excited. I want that highlight video, from the same angle, for Maye and Williams. I don't know if this has been posted yet, but...
  2. How high is Max Melton being mocked?
  3. FWIW. Also, I’d be excited to have Daniels. A bit more worried though. Short term and long term. Something that I haven’t seen talked about a lot is, what happens if both are great. How long do you get peak Jayden Daniels? His game is so tied to his athleticism, and he’s already an older prospect. Drake Maye could be peak Drake Maye for 12 years easy. Is Jayden going to be fading in 7 years because his athleticism is waning at age 30? Even if he never does get that massive injury?
  4. I also don't want to reach. But, moving up into a range where OT is BPA is a different thing. I think protection is critical for a rookie QB. Also, look how athletic this OT is. Tylan Grable, UCF. 6'6", 306 pounds, arms 33 & 5/8", hands 10 & 1/8, 4.95 40, 1.69 10yd, 36.5" vert, 9'9" broad jump. That is ridiculous. Guard candidate? Any idea where he is projected? https://www.nfl.com/prospects/tylan-grable/32004752-4102-7444-a454-6645dfedea6f
  5. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/olumuyiwa-fashanu/32004641-5321-5841-928a-eb3cf26b2462 Now that I know how small his hands are, that's all I can look at. They are soooooooooo teeeeeny. Also, I wouldn't mind plugging him in at LT.
  6. Thinks the same thing we do. That we are moving back up into the 1st for a tackle. Also, there has been a lot of talk of us moving into the 20's with a 2nd and a 3rd. I'm not a fan. I think the tackles in the 20's are going to be swing and miss guys like Guyton, who both needs development and carries bust risk. I'd rather have top talents at other positions. If we want an OT that can start and protect a rookie in Rd 1, I think the sweet spot is around 15, and our 2 seconds could get us there. We need to get ahead of Cincinnati and Pittsburg. It would be even better to get ahead of NO at 14. Also, I keep seeing Brock Bowers dropping in mocks...
  7. The rest of free agency was too intentional. I have to believe that there is a solid plan at tackle and that we will add one before the draft. At least someone good enough to be a place holder.
  8. I’m not posting this to harp on any one player, but just as an example of how much all of these picks could overhaul our roster if things break the right way.
  9. I wonder if teams are just waiting for financial expectations to come down for Tyron Smith, or if his medicals are worse than we thought and there will be a longer delay before he signs, or maybe even does not. I think at this point, we really should sign T Smith. Even if he misses 5 games, that gives us a much better chance to protect and develop our rookie QB while we develop an OT.
  10. One thing I wouldn’t expect based on the number of 2nd and 3rd round pics, is a lot of movement down in the draft to accumulate pics in round 4-7. The general consensus seems to be that there is a drop off in this draft after around pick 100. If we trade up for an OT, I’d be happy to see us move into the tense and get Fuaga, if he’s available. I think he’s a 10 year plug and play RT. We may not be able to fix everything in one draft. Sign Tyron Smith and draft Fuaga and we could draft our long term LT in the first next year. Where is Xavier Legette’s natural spot? Is he an X?
  11. I agree that it looks, right now, that a trade up for a tackle could be a smart move. Fashanu would be a good get for LT. I would really, really like Fuaga. What are your thoughts on Mims? He seems more likely to fall into reach than the other two. I know he doesn't have a lot of starts, and I've seen people talk about his injury history, but the only thing I could find in his injury history is a high ankle sprain that required a tight rope surgery. I wonder if the Jets trading for Moses makes them less likely to grab a tackle at the 10th pick.
  12. There has to be a plan at OT, right? We can’t be planning to go into the draft needing a RT to replace Wylie and a LT to replace Leno, while also drafting a rookie WB we are planning to start.
  13. Traded 36, 67, 99, and a 3rd next year for Taliese.
  14. I really think Wagner could be great here. He is playing as well as he ever has even at 33 and could step right in and stabilize the position for a couple of years. He could easily be our next London Fletcher.
  15. He has a comfort level with a running QB because of Cam.
  16. Beebe's arms are SHORT. How do you see him doing in pass pro in the NFL at guard?
  17. It's pretty easy to say something like that when you just aren't going to go number one. Turns out that I, myself, also don't care about going first overall. I like Daniels. Love his running. Love his release. I think this combine wasn't a good look for him. At least show up and be measured and stay. He's not Caleb or Marvin, the unquestioned top pick at his position.
  18. "4) Reiman's star turn. Illinois TE Tip Reiman has made the most of his NFL Scouting Combine experience. The unheralded blocking tight end earned a little internet notoriety this week with his "birds aren't real" take during media access, asking rhetorically: "Have you ever seen a baby pigeon?" and "How do we know that power lines aren't pigeon recharging stations?" 4) Reiman's star turn. " Oh, my ****ing god. There is one of them there that doesn't believe in space and one that doesn't believe birds are real? BIRDS? And they say this stuff out loud. For other people to hear. What is up with the world these days? Also, Johnny Wilson had a pretty good combine. He's 6'6" and 231 with 35" arms, ran a 4.52 40, had a 37" vertical and 10'8" broad jump. That is pretty intriguing. Also, Keon Coleman is going to fall with that 4.61. He also becomes intriguing to me in the later rounds.
  19. Daniels leaving the combine for, “something personal”? What could possibly be more important than this. If we don’t find out about a death in the family, this is an awful look and would absolutely affect my willingness to draft him. At least Caleb showed up and stayed. And regarding the not weighing in, it doesn’t change a lot for me. He’s skinny. He doesn’t have one of those frames to add much good weight. We know his build. I think for me this is more of. STFU moment for everyone talking about him rapidly putting on weight and it not being an issue in the NFL.
  20. Go ahead and sign me up. I think this might move him above our 3rd though.
