  1. Holy crap, Wilson is looking like the old douchebag who used to crush us. Glad our d-line is so elite.
  2. This is gonna be a painful watch, isn't it?
  3. Most pathetic defensive effort I’ve seen since … last year. That was an abomination.
  4. Man, I haven't posted here in ages. I wasn't going to say anything or post anything until it was clear that Danya was EXORCISED. I dedicate this moment to everyone who said, so many EFFING times, "just accept it," "Who cares?", "He's never going to sell," "Dan's not going anywhere," etc., etc., etc. You know who you are. This was a grassroots effort led by a handful of brave people who started the ball rolling and never stopped. People who never gave up. Who did whatever they could, some a little, some a lot, to collectively dent that armor until it COLLAPSED, FINALLY. If those people had resigned themselves to the so-called "inevitable," nothing would've ever changed. Thankfully, sometimes, people can make a difference. This is one of those times. I can root for this team again. I can get invested in this team again. What a great day.
  5. Logan Paulsen either was feeding false info or didn't know what he was talking about. Howell looks totally ready. Plenty of things to work on, but he looks like an NFL QB to me.
  6. So glad to have Ron's o-coordinator and his hand-pick kicker. Paying HUGE dividends for us today.
  7. JP is pathetic. Don't get me wrong, he's RIGHT here, but he's pathetic. Just wanted to add that. Dude has never taken a brave stand in his life. When I heard how he handled Snyder's lawyer when he had him on a couple months ago, I lost what little respect I had for him. Now he's just playing the BMitch "rant" role. Unlike BMitch, though, who actually means it, he's just a big phony.
  8. Unreal that Milne continues to return kicks for this team. That alone warrants a firing.
  9. Such a garbage call by Turner. A slow developing play action when your line has been getting destroyed all day. No chance. Pathetic as usual.
  10. The run to Robinson on I think second down in OT was just a horrendous call. The Giants were playing that COMPLETELY. Ran him right into a brick wall. Don't know if Heinicke has the authority to audible there, but a play action would've been a huge gainer. Both teams were horrible in OT.
  11. Absolutely GUTLESS giveup call there. Third and 10 and you give up and accept - at MOST - a TIE??? Pathetic. They deserve to lose.
  12. Geez, Heinicke. Guys is wide open. Gotta hit that despite the pressure.
  13. Heinicke back down to earth. Their line is totally outperforming ours right now, and the penalties have just killed these drives. He isn't remotely good enough against these kinds of defenses when it's 2nd/3rd and long. That dink and dunk approach has to be penalty-free for it to even have a chance of getting a score. Horrible game for him today so far.
  14. No, he was a first round pick by the Cardinals in '73, fifth overall. George Allen traded two first round picks and a second to trade for him! Can you imagine anyone doing that today? Paid off though.
  15. AND his shoes! They would always go on about the giant size of his shoes. I can't remember the specific size, but they were gigantic, I know that. This one really hurts.
  16. Just learned of his passing. No idea how, but what a loss. He meant so much to me growing up. He represented everything about the team I loved. Will miss you, Big Dave. And thank you.
  17. Why the hell wouldn't you punt, especially after the penalty? You have all three timeouts. Bears tryin' ta tank?
  18. I've heard him with that schtick before saying "I'm not built to quit," etc., etc., as if fans bailing out are "quitters." It's idiotic. Especially for those of us who've been here for awhile. I've said it many times before: It's not the continual LOSING that keeps people away and has people like me no longer investing anything emotionally in this team. I could continue to support an overall losing franchise FOREVER if I believed in its leadership and direction and felt some semblance of pride in what they were. But we are owned and run by the absolute biggest scumbag in all of sports. Not just a horrible owner, but a horrible human being with a now 20+ year track record here of scumbaggery and ineptitude. There's a reason soldiers have sometimes mutinied over the centuries; it's because they no longer have any faith in their leader and know he's going to get them killed for no good reason if they just continue to follow along blindly like good little soldiers. That's how I look at this situation. Not as people quitting out of "softness" or "cowardice." It's a mutiny. Saying this fan base is "soft" because of the drop-off over the years is insane. It's actually amazing it stayed as strong for as long as it did. I think it makes us HARD. Wait ... that doesn't sound right. But you hopefully know what I mean. It's a brave decision to say, "I'm going to forget about all this tradition crap and start looking out for myself a little bit and for what's right instead of trying to figure out new and inventive ways to convince myself that facts are fiction just so I can feel better temporarily about a football team." New ownership I believe in on a simple level of human decency and competence, and I'll be back. Let Doc go back to his "war cliche thesaurus" in the meantime and continue talking about how "we need a hero" or "we need warriors" or "I need pelts" or whatever nonsense he's been peddling year after year. Besides, whenever he gets a chance to actually ask hard questions to people in the organization, he folds like our offensive line.
  19. All of that may be true, but I have rarely ... if EVER ... heard the opposing team's fans cause the home team to adopt a silent count like I've seen from a lot of FedEx games over the last couple years. Almost every game they play now, you can hear the chants of "Defense" when we're on offense, and they're loud! I don't see that with any of the other games I'm watching, although I obviously don't watch everything.
  20. It wasn't too embarrassing. Far from full, but better than I thought it might be. Plenty of Titans fans there, but not the same level as Eagles fans two weeks prior. Clear that we have no home field advantage whatsoever though. The crowd got "sorta kinda" loud a few times, but nowhere near enough to really disrupt the opponent. You could also hear Titans fans cheering when they were on defense. Also interesting that the "Hail to the Whatevers" song they played during TDs didn't have ANYONE that I could hear singing along or saying "Redskins" as many feared. I was kind of surprised at that, but it's probably because the song is much slower than the old version and, imo, is about as inspiring now as watching cement dry. No one cared about the song at all. Would be surprised if it lasts into next season. Sad.
