    The problem was they got rid of the hard running, no frills power back that can push a pile even if it doesn't mean big chunks of yardage, replacing him with an undrafted rookie, and then not using the undrafted rookie in that role. I understand not wanting to keep 4 RB but if your expectation was to be a solid defense/power running team, and then got rid of your most powerful runner in the hopes your second year inexperienced gadget back could fill that role, then it's not all surprising we are where we are.

    Don't get me wrong, I'd still like to see it happen, but realistically too much has to go in our favor, the least of which involves sweeping the last three games.

    I kept saying how bad Allen and Payne looked and then everyone was talking about the great game he had and I was floored. For a guy touted as an all-pro and Making 16 a year, in a game we absolutely needed him and Payne to make their presence known they came up alarmingly small. What was Payne’s grade? Edit: I see Payne was our worst defensive player. Not shocked by that.
