  1. Correct. I was editing as you were typing. Was initially thinking that was from '79.
  2. Quite a few here were saying Trump wouldn't debate Biden, and I remember thinking it was more likely the other way around, but we may find out for sure. Llhttps://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/trump-says-will-debate-biden-anytime-rcna142140
  3. Stumbled across this one a few weeks ago, and caught most of it. I remember reading the book in sixth or seventh grade, and saw it in the theater a couple of years later. It was the first time I had seen it in over 40 years. The story takes place around 1965, and the movie has a very late 50's to mid 60's look and feel to it. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, it's not a great movie, but ok to good, I'd say. Basically a story of rival gangs and cliques. What I had forgotten was the cast in this movie, and then thinking about the careers so many of them went on to have, but how relatively unknown they were at the time. C. Thomas Howell Ralph Macchio Matt Dillon Patrick Swayze Rob Lowe Emilio Estevez Tom Cruise Diane Lane Leif Garrett Tom Waits
  4. Without a conviction or being disqualified by congress a " sham insurrection charge " would be the opinion of this judge in this state and that election official in that state. I don't think that's a good idea.
  5. But couldn't you say that they have actually done just that with their decision today ? They've saved future Democrat presidents from having a Tennesee or Texas or Montana from keeping them off their ballots depending on how they interpret " engaged in insurrection ", without a charge and conviction, or disqualification from congress.
  6. I suppose this comes down to whether you're under the impression that " right to abortion " is mentioned in the Constitution. " Engaged in insurrection " is.
  7. And I remember thinking the opposite walking out of Fed Ex after the Buffalo game, following Sean Taylor's death.
  8. Getting a ruling through a state court would be all they need though, right ? Because no one has faced federal charges of insurrection.
  9. Each state would be able to decide for itself what " fomenting " ( technically " engaging in " ) would mean. So, yes.
  10. Unanimous Supreme Court restores Trump to Colorado ballot https://www.npr.org/2024/03/04/1230453714/supreme-court-trump-colorado-ballot
  11. Well, yeah we didnt clinch with that win , but it was more about the feeling and sitting at 9 -5 instead of 8 - 6 with two games left, we felt confident we would get there.
  12. Well, just under 32 years ago, this game, right here. December 13, 1992. My father, an old friend of his who had known me since I was born, and myself took a bus trip including tickets to the game and a ride to and from the racetrack in Laurel, the Saturday before the game. This was a nailbiter throughout, until the fumble at the 3:12 mark. We were sitting in the lower level seats, but in the opposite endzone. It took a while for people to figure out what happened, because I'm not sure everyone paid attention to or could see that Danny Copeland had the ball in his hand, running away from the pile. Was his knee down ? Was it a safety ? Was it a touchdown ? And then the signal came. The place erupted. The three of us grinning from ear to ear. Me, letting out a couple yells. There was still a few minutes left, but somehow, we knew. We had just beaten the Cowboys and we were.going to the playoffs. It's not my greatest of all time. That still belongs to Riggins 10 years earlier, but it's way up there.
  13. Been a while, but not that long since I've played. An older kid that lived a couple of houses down the road, charged me fifty cents a lesson, when I was seven years old. It's a great game. I still love playing.
  14. I understand money being used as an incentive for informants is not earth shattering and if everyone here knew about the reward offered, and my post about the exact amount that was offered to Steele , came off as redundant or " spamish ", my apologies. Yes, it's a small detail in a bigger picture that includes some things outside of the dossier, and those things are fair game, but part of that bigger picture also, are the actions " mistakes " and abnormalities by the FBI with regards to the investigation. Strzoke, and Comey were fired, Clinesmith was punished, and they should have been, and to me there seemed to be a lack of curiosity and scrutiny by some - not all of course - but particularly in the mainstream media, applied to the FBI. Trump shouldn't be giving them the fodder so to speak, but ... Basically with this ... To me, the FBI made it even worse.
  15. The Oxford dictionary defines sandwich as any meat cheese or filling between two pieces of bread. So, the question of whether a burrito or a wrap qualifies as a sandwich, seems to be a question of whether a tortilla qualifies as bread I vote not. Although a tortilla is described as an unleavened Flatbread, so ...😁
