Can’t beat them if we didn’t play them, which we didn’t.
That was 2020 when we played them, with HASKINS starting. With Haskins, no **** we couldn’t beat them

I think we should call you Cooley-pedia with the way you're always so quick with stats and history, all stored in your brain

Now Peyton with a shot at Dak and the Cowboys. I dig it.
They're funnier than I expected.
Part of it, is the sibling jabs which are fun to watch. Those brotherly quarrels actually have a ring of authenticity to them, too.

The cowboys have as much talent but absolutely the worst coaching.
I was just now thinking about how that's been such a consistent pattern in Dallas.
They have a history of generally drafting or acquiring really, really good players.
While at the same time, consistently making really bad coaching hires.

I never saw anything in O'Connell to make me think he was anything.
Yea I think, either people were assuming he'd become something based on a pattern, or were fearful of it.

Don’t forget there is Cards vs. Rams tomorrow night.
Id like the Rams to win to get my full contingent of “should have had this coach instead Bruce hired/kept Jay” coaches in the division round of the playoffs.
So is Kevin O'Connell considered another "one that got away" ?
Thought I heard rumblings about that, even before he left here.

hip guy. I see what you did there
So he takes him all the way from DC to Buffalo just for a football game ?
Wow, it's like Fitz and his son are joined at the hip, or something
we need an emoji, for "I'll see myself out"

After tonight's game, Dallas is 4-4 against winning teams this year.
3-4 if you don't count the win against a team resting Starters
I predict a quick exit in January.
Just as I foresaw !

With a dumb ass QB draw called with time ticking and no TOs left.
Does Kellen Moore still get those HC interviews ?

Slide or slid is a good way to describe it.
What must it be like for your team's season to end on your QB taking a slide

Dallas still had to score a TD…it’s not like they were spiking the ball to kick a field goal to win the game. Completely delusional…You could also argue they got a freebie on the re-spot when Samuel ended up an inch short of a 1st down.
It shouldn't have come down to that last play. Niners had the 1st Down
But then, I guess they would complain if the refs gave the Niners the 1st Down on that play

So rewatching the end of the Cowboys game. The ref needed to spot the ball another yard or two back from where he did. Dak started his slide behind the 25 (I think it was 25, maybe 20 or 30). That would have been something if he had somehow clocked before time expired, but in reality, shouldn’t have had a chance to snap it where they were.
And I just watched McCarthy's press conference, and he blamed the refs for not spotting the ball quick enough.
But the show pointed out, the right thing to do, is for Dak to just hand the ball to ref so he can spot it.
You can't spot your own ball ! If you could, what a mess this game would be.
This shouldn't even be an argument. Refs didn't do anything wrong. You could even see the ref sprinting to spot it as soon as he could. But it's the Cowboys themselves who delayed the spotting

nfl needs to hammer down on that
If a player gets fined for simply criticizing a call by a ref, then where does it fall, if a player encourages his fans to throw junk at refs ?
5 minutes ago, Ball Security said:Why would you put your LT in motion? Line up and smash forward four inches.
I thought that too, and guessed maybe Kyle was trying to be cute and try to fool the defense into thinking they were going heavy OL on the right and running right instead of the sneak ? That way they draw more defenders away from the middle ?
Just a guess.

It wasn’t on Trent. He went in motion and was about to get set and Jimmy snapped the ball. Trent didn’t jump. It was an illegal shift penalty.
And there was more than enough time for Jimmy to check that Trent had gotten set and then snap the ball.
That’s entirely on the QB. He is the one who calls for the motion, and has to be aware when it’s complete.
So are there still some people here that want to trade for Jimmy ?

Everyone assuming this game will be a blowout.
But probably won't be.

Lost in all this is how hard SF tried to give that game away at the end.
Trent of all people almost lost it.
In fact they almost lost that game a dozen times.

Romo : What you DON'T want is to go to the middle of the field right now. That's the LAST thing you want.
So Prescott runs straight up the middle of the field.
Game Over.
Romo would make a better HC than McCarthy
