Yeah, the only thing to consider is what @TheShredder posted somewhere, about gunshot wounds healing from the inside - out, and that takes some time.  (Which, btw, I had no idea about and was really helpful information.)

I think everybody is in "wait and see" mode.  I haven't seen it yet, but I think the clear indication is if he is put on the NFI today/tomorrow.  If that's the case, then it's at least a 6-8 week recovery.  If he's not, then they think he could be back sooner.

I can't imagine having a bullet travel through a body part (flesh wound would be different), and it taking less than 4-6 weeks, just knowing how long it takes for things like cuts, muscle tears, etc. to heal, and then having to do some rehab and strength building on the back of the recovery.   But I know literally nothing, I'm just guessing....

Another thing to consider, which may be a significant indicator, is how quickly he was released from the hospital. Less than 24 hours.

If it involved structural pieces or "moving parts" - especially in a critical area like the knee, then I would figure that would warrant a longer stay.

The bullet went through his knee. How would that NOT hit SOMETHING? There's stuff in there. It's not hollow.

It didn't damage the structure from what I understand, but it went through his knee. So... there's stuff in there it hit and went through.

Fleshy meat, or meaty flesh ?

I'm guessing it didn't go directly through the knee, but in the close vicinity.

It's not hollow, but I don't think it's 100% bone, ligament, tendon, muscle.

There's that super small percentage that doesn't fall into those categories, which would seem to fall into a medical miracle of some kind ; a 1 in a thousand percent chance or something.

Saddiq is also the #4 tackle. If they cut him, they don’t have anyone behind Lucas. Saddiq isn’t a good tackle but Paul apparently is really bad at it

I recall one or more times in the past, keeping just 3 Tackles.

I know it sounds risky, but I'm pretty certain it's happened. I assume when they do that, they figure they have a Guard who can play Tackle, in a pinch.

    And/or someone on the PS.

Charles makes sense to make the roster because he's capable of filling in at both G/T.

So I guess it's a matter of semantics, and whether you consider him a G, or a T, on the roster/depth chart.

Playing dual positions seems to dictate a lot of roster decisions these days.

No way Marky Mike makes the team.

right he’s like 29. It’s cool he’s made some plays in camp but he’s not exactly a developmental guy. I think because he’s a no name people assume he’s young, or even a fresh UDFA. He isn’t, he’s been in the league since 2016 lol

Sometimes the 6th or 7th guy is an older guy. I've seen it happen, and happen here.

Just checked and they are putting up pre-season games. I will be able to watch it in full hd when I get home on Saturday. :)

I will get it televised on network TV, because I live in "Panther Territory".

That's one thing I have, to look forward to, whenever we play the Panthers.

So, are your FKA 'zskins' ? I wasn't around when they were doing the member name changes

Yeah, I'm 100% up for eating crow on this, but I think the Wentz experiment will be deemed a failure a little past mid-season. My only hope is that coaches can realize that before his snap count costs them a 2nd rounder, instead of a 3rd.

I won't argue with this. I really hope that he succeeds, and I have nothing against him personally, but it's difficult for me to imagine a scenario where his career suddenly rebounds, and he corrects his flaws.

That being said, "Go Carson. And go 'Ders !"

So you're thinking we keep 6 WRs?

    Terry

    Dotson

    Samuel

    Sims

    Brown

    Michel?

I was hoping Milne would make the team again this year too.

Milne having a great camp. Some are saying he could take Sims' spot.

I remember when we drafted Milne last year, everyone said he looked like he was 12 years old.

So, that being the case, we shouldn't be surprised at him taking huge strides this year. I mean, when a kid goes through puberty, he starts maturing real fast in the next couple years.

Another difference/advantage with Milne over Sims ; Special Teams, man. Special Teams

It's nice what Warren Sapp said, but the more I see Jonathan Allen interviews, the more I realize how lucky this team is to have him.  This is a man among boys and I think his future will be bright with, and beyond this team.

This is a player whose jersey would be respectful to wear.

    Salute to you, Jonathan Allen.

One of the things Allen said, when they got his reaction to the Mills' firing, was basically how the unusual is usual, in the NFL.

Then went on and said how, among other things, he's seen some great players get released.

I bet he had Ioannidis on his mind.

Can it be Saturday already. I need some live reps

Did everyone notice the time ?

    1pm on a Saturday.

Even in the first preseason game, it already has a "Playoff Feel" to it ;)

Can't remember that happening in the past, for preseason. Maybe the next time we play a 1pm Saturday game will be in January.

That's playoff time, in case anyone forgot :)

    I mean...we havn't done that often, right

  9. Rivera views the first preseason game, as the one to assess which players will make the 2022 roster.

    That's because it's against Carolina.

So, he can put all his focus on how the Carolina players are performing, and assess which of the Panthers he should sign, if they should get released before the season.

    ;)

I wonder what happened here. Mills has been with Rivera forever.

I'm thinking the sideline skirmish between Allen and Payne was a symptom of whatever was goin on.

I always felt like Sam Mills III was actually Zeke Elliott spying on our sideline.
