He looks like he could still suit up and play.
Adds new meaning to the phrase "No starting player's job is safe" 😉

Coach Z
He's got the Bellichek Eye-Roll when he doesn't like the reporter question
No-nonsense guy,
Comes across as military, even though he isn't.

Kind of strange timing firing Mills?
Makes sense, with Kerrigan sitting in on practices recently, deciding if he wants to coach.
And there is now a vacant Assistant DL coach spot

**** that. Stipe, DC comed out of retirement, rematch Gane, ect.
Have you seen DC lately ? He looks every bit of 300 pounds or more, and walks around really, really stiff.
Doesn't look like someone who can even make a comeback, as a UFC HW.

Would love JD back but I’m not convinced he’s worth 4m per year.
This 4th grade Eagles fan thinks so.
Along with Trevon Diggs, who gets easily stepped on by McKissic in this shot.
I wonder if McKissic print this and brings it into his negotiations with his agent.

Unless some of our 2022 opponents make great strides this offseason, which is almost impossible to accurately predict, then the 2022 schedule looks relatively kind to us.

Are we sure it's "Bye, Bye Big Ben" ?
Because Big Ben has a way of reappearing and reappearing, just when you think he left the picture.

Good lists, I agree with these except I'd move RSJ to the first list and add Joey Slye.I can't disagree with RSJ, although it is possible that Reyes keeps progressing and becomes our #3 behind Bates and Thomas.
Even though he didn't catch a pass, the fact that they "protected" him all year and the fact he got as many snaps as he did, both on ST and offense, is encouraging for his very first year playing the sport, as well as starting out at the highest level.

Same. Gane widdles him down with technique and precision. Francis will throw some smokers, but will whiff.
You think he finishes him ?
I see it goin 5 rounds, with both fighters fighting cautious enough to stay out of extreme harm's way, with Gane getting the UD.

PFT: Does the new USFL have the legal right to call itself the USFL?
I can't believe Fox got involved, if not knowing whether the guy has the rights to call his league the USFL.
Several of the teams have the identical name they had the last time the USFL operated - both the city and the nickname : like the New Jersey Generals. the Houston Gamblers, the Tampa Bay Bandits, and Pittsburgh Maulers. All of those were in the original USFL in the 80's.
It's not an absolute, but that kind of makes me think there's some kind of connection with the last USFL, and there's no legal conflicts.
Trivia question without looking, can anyone tell the name of the Washington franchise in the original USFL ? And who our "star" RB was, that went on to play in the NFL ?
-
I couldn't find the answer to this in a search, even though it's probably a common question.
But are any of the 2022 USFL players contractually allowed to play in the NFL's 2022 season ?
-
Who ya'll got for this weekend's banger ?
I got Gane.
I'm gonna go with superior technique, over-riding superior power.
And it will be a crime, if Miocic does not get the winner.

DT: If we trade Payne, then we NEED to re-sign Settle
Why would we want to trade Payne ?
Payne and Allen are like brothers.
Ya'll got brothers don't ya ?
Joking.
I know the real reason people probably want to trade Payne : Combination of Salary Cap and available depth to replace him and that impending contract.

Torn ACL against the Eagles last game of the season. Probably cheap though. Vander Esch will probably walk as well with Parsons there.
That team seems about to fall apart in more ways than one.
The cap and free agency seemed to give them a very short window to try to win it all, and it looks like that window has already closed.

Speculation suggests that Cowboys may release Amare due to cap issues
How about Gallup ? He's going to be a FA and they probably won't have the $ to re-sign hiim

As for other teams's FA, maybe Alexander Johnson of Denver could be a possibility at MLB ?
The downside is he's 30 years old, and had a recent torn pectoral, but he has the talent

The Official ES (or EWhatever)
Maybe the new team name starts with an "S" so we can remain ES
Although I don't think any S names have been in the conversation. Although we could be surprised.
I'll start with our own FA's. And who I wish for :
Definitely want :
McKissic
McCain
Deandre Carter
Tim Settle
Possibly want (as backups or depth), depending who else signs, etc :
Cam Sims
Torry McTyer
Cornelius Lucas
Humphries
Ricky Seals Jones
Danny Johnson
Tyler Larsen
Kyle Allen

Someone may throw snowballs at some of my choices, but this is who I "want" to win this weekend.
Packers over 49ers
Bucs over Rams
Bills over Chiefs
Bengals and Titans is the only game that I don't care who wins it. Which could be the ideal game to enjoy, since I'm guaranteed not to be let down.

Assuming Werner and Bosa are back
Jimmy G isn't a certainty either from what I read.
I think he's practicing now, but still technically a question mark for this weekend.
I didn't know until after the game that he played the end of the Dallas game with a sprained shoulder.
That could explain some things, like the INT, etc
After writing this, I read that all three players, Jimmy G, Werner, and Bosa, were described as "having a chance" to play this weekend.
Of course that doesn't say much in detail.
As "having a chance" could mean anywhere from a 1% to a 99% chance of playing. Everything in between those numbers qualifies as a chance.

8 days? Didn’t the bucs play yesterday? Isn’t Sunday to Sunday 7 days?
Sorry, nevermind I'm wrong.
For some reason, I had it incorrectly etched in my mind that they played Saturday.
So it's a 7 day period
Maybe since Sunday was such a long day of football and 3 games, all of which I watched, that the earliest game seemed like 2 days ago
