lol I usually like whoever the QB is execpt when we put Mark Sanchez in. I was out on that move. Your really using the "you like Heinickie" club as defense. I was happy about getting Wentz I remember us struggling in the redzone with him as well. He tried to throw a 1 yard TD against the Titans and it got intercepted in a tight window, and Wentz might have the strongest arm in the league. I think your trying to say that I like Heinickie and it clouds my evaluation of him however, I think my evaluation of him is spot on. Deep outs and deep middle are how he limits the offense. The redzone issues arent because of his physical limitations. There are to many other factors that have caused those issues.

You did say it was the main issue though. Which I think is wrong, there a a lot of issues as I just mentioned. Running in the redzone is huge, our O-line gets very little push. Both Gibson and Robinson have insane yards after contact this year. Also, our complete inability to run screen plays is a massive hindrance in the redzone as teams do seem to blitz more when we get down there. I think THs arm effects the deep ball in a non congested field, say when were at midfield in that he cant challenge the defenses and push the deep middle. However, playing small ball suits him much better, he makes quick reads and has a pretty quick release. As I said before this is something that should be fixed and has very little to do with THs limitations. It is popular to here to blame it on TH though so I can see why you would have that opinion but if you really think about it, it dosent make sense. I have said this before, if they fix that issue and continue to run the ball well we will be a big problem for teams to deal with.

I just dont buy that TH is the ONLY reason were not finishing in the red zone. He is a part of it but I think the play calling has been bad and our O-line hasnt played well at times down there. I dont think you need a rifle arm to score in the red zone. You dont want to throw lazers to your receivers at close range, it all comes down to play calling and execution like everything else in football. If they execute better and get some good play calling. There will be a lot of bewildered TH haters here. Its definitely something they can fix.

But then what if they fix the redzone issues?

Wentz got sacked 9 times against the Eagles, Ill take TH in this match-up. A huge reason were winning with TH is because he isn't taking many sacks. Wentz took 23 sacks in 6 games. This offense was inept with Wentz in there. At least were moving the ball up and down the field. If they start finishing these drive with TDs were going to be a big problem for teams especially with they way we have been running it.

Thank you for speaking on this. I really think there should be a Heinekie hater thread they can all go in and bash the guy. If he just showed that we can literally beat the best team in the league with him as our QB, then what exactly is the limitation on him? People act like Wentz didn't turn the ball over at all and we got a whole 8 points against the Fecals last game. Also, we should have put this game away even earlier then we did, they play calling in the redzone just baffles me sometimes. 1st and 10 inside the 5 yard line.... run it 4 times....

Their dbs don’t even turn to look for the ball and there’s no PI call but then they call that on us… I swear everytime
