I dont think you beat TH by blitzing. I kinda hope they do blitz. If they sit back in zone but play the short stuff well then there may be an issue.

Being on time helps much more. As previously stated, TH has the arm to make this throw its almost irrelevant. If you want to compile all a video of all the 65+ yard passes and deep outs that Wentz has thrown in his career then we can watch that. We all know TH does not have a great or even good arm. I know you REALLY want to keep bringing it up but its not the reason he misses on every throw. I dont think its helping the quality of your posts to keep bringing it up.....Broski

a lot of qbs can make that throw, TH was just late on it. You dont need a cannon to make this throw, you just need to be on time.

100% agree, I think thats part of the learning process as well. We might see TH recognize that he needs to run a bit sooner. But if he is actually hurt then im not sure its a good idea.

Troy Aikman talked about this last night a bit during the Monday night game as Pickett was having a pretty nice night. He was basically saying that the more reps a QB gets, the more the game slows down and qbs that dont have as much playing time just take off much quicker because there not sure about what they are seeing and every thing is a blur. Aikman even brought up that fans seem to want qbs to keep running because it was effective however, its good for the development of the qb for the game to slow down.

I think its 2 possible reasons for the throw. (im not defending the decision, it was a bad decision) but I have been trying to understand this one. 1) its possible TH didnt see #3 as both Larson and Norwell were right in the lane for a second so hey may not even have seen him. (this is not and excuse, its a possibility) 2) He did see #3 and thought he would drop and get Gibson coming out of the back field. It looks like TH is trying to manipulate the secondary with his eyes here but it failed. Terry is running a square in and teams are looking for that. TH dosent turn his head that way at all just has eyes straight ahead possibly trying to hold the deep safety. Either way bad decision, bad throw. You live and learn.

They were pushingus off the line by 5 or more yards at times. I think they were doubling Payne and Allen and LBs were getting blocked by TEs. We immediately added Ridgeway back into the mix but it didnt seem to help much. We didnt get off blocks or hold our ground.

Yeah but if TH took 9 sacks in a game I think you might change your tune a bit. I know I would. Also: what it we reinsert Wentz and he starts taking sacks again, we went 2 entire halfs of football without scoring a point with Wentz. I have to preface (I wasnt a Wentz hater) I was ok with the move and genuinely rooting for him. We can say the oline is playing better but is that really a coincidence? There not healthy either center is a back up same with right guard and right tackle. The guys playing might not be hurt but we certainly arent at full strength. Bottom line is you cant take sacks, Carson was really struggling with sliding in the pocket and anticipating/feeling the pressure in the pocket. TH has very good pocket awareness and is elusive, hard to sack. I do hope Howell comes in ready to be the guy next year. He could literally take that spot and run with it, I would love to be in his position right now.

The reason we’re winning is because we have mediocre qb play. Put Wentz in and we go back to horrid qb play. You can really spin this either way.
