The strategy is easy to understand: I don't want to lose my job, so I just need to make sure the base/extremists/true believers/whatever you want to call them don't primary me (especially if I'm in a gerrymandered "safe" district). And if there's one thing the Republican party has learned from Trump, it's to never, EVER admit you were wrong about anything. So abortion can't be a loser, because admitting that would be admitting I was wrong, and then my pro-life base will oust me next primary. There are a few true "abortion is murder, full-stop" politicians in the Republican party, but they're outnumbered by self-serving career politicians who know to say the right things to save their own asses, even if it damns the party at large. Who cares if the party loses the executive branch (whether the Presidency or governorship) and loses seats in the legislature (again, whether Congress or state level), as long as MY ass get re-elected. So if you want to blame the non-elected pols, especially the national ones at the RNC, for not getting the message, that's valid. But I think wondering why an elected Republican like this supposedly doesn't have a clue what he's talking about, especially when talking to a crowd like the ****ing Heritage Foundation, is somehow giving him far more credit than he actually deserves.

You want to feel even more infuriated? There's a podcast I listen to called "Knowledge Fight" where 2 stand-up comedians take episodes of Info Wars and debunk/roast Jones. One of the guests they've had on a couple times is (I believe) the daughter of one of the teachers killed at Sandy Hook. She has cancer, and is having to crowd-fund her cancer treatment while she waits for the money Jones owes her. So while Jones gets to continue to spew his bull**** and continue to live his life the same as before, this young woman is having to beg strangers to help her fight for her life because she still hasn't seen a dime of what she legally deserves. Just another example of how rich people rarely face actual justice while their real-life victims really suffer with almost no recourse.

So if something happens, and we get any kind of advance warning with an official "this is the end, for real" date attached, I simply have 1 request. That on that final day, in an act of solidarity and kinship, we ALL change our avatars to be that candid picture that Chris Cooley took of his playbook that one time. You all know what I mean. I think it would be a fitting send off.

While it's foolish to predict politics too far out, and I don't think Gov. Sweatervest has a legitimate shot at 2028....I think tonight's VA elections give him the best shot at a post-Trump run in 2028. With a solid Dem government opposing him, they'll be able to force Glenny Boy to moderate somewhat if he wants to get anything done. And if he has ANY ambitions for 2028, he can't block everything from getting done in VA for the rest of his term. This gives him even more of a fig-leaf as a "moderate" on the national scale while giving him the perfect excuse for any shortcomings the base might feel with him in the next couple of years. I still don't think he's got any real chance of pulling it off, but politics are strange. And "Successful Republican governor of a purple/blue state (because the Democrats were able to prevent me from implementing all of my worst and most disastrous ideas)" isn't the worst platform to run on, especially if the Republican party does try to pivot to a post-Trump party in 2028 (which they would, in theory, have to if he wins a 2nd term and they decide to follow the Constitution because it helps them this time) and needs to find somebody that doesn't scare the **** out of a large portion of the populace like young people, minorities, or MOST WOMEN.

So if everybody here chips in some money, I think we could all buy Trump's old twitter handle and have a LOT of fun leading up to the next election.

The loudest and most annoying "Libertarian" (aka, conservatives but don't want to admit it) friends I have almost all work for the military, one of the least Libertarian organizations you could possibly join. Another is a cop. So....yeah, like how "the only moral abortion is my abortion" you have "the only legitimate taxpayer funded job is my taxpayer funded job."

So does nobody else find it suspicious that 2 of the league's biggest anti-vax voices, Kirk and Rodgers, both managed to "injure" their Achilles in the same season? And that both of their "injured" Achilles injuries happened when a Fauci-funded sniper employed by Roger Goodell secretly shot both of them with a .50 cal right in the tendon while leaving no trace of the bullet? And that the bullet was also a vaccine, finally forcing them to get vaxxed? No, you idiots want to talk about stupid nonsense like how the NFL is heavily involved with gambling and has a problem with refs showing blatant favoritism to certain teams, even trying to use "proof" that some refs have already been busted for corruption or are based near certain teams' cities while tending to give those teams favorable calls. Wake up, sheeple!
