  3. Juan Manuel Marquez sets conditions for a 4th bout with Manny Pacquiao Ricardo Lois, Latino Boxing Examiner November 15, 2011 - Like this? Subscribe to get instant updates. Just days away from a majority decision defeat to Manny Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez set conditions for a fourth bout with the Filipino boxing icon. *“Now I am the one who will put forth the conditions.* I want to see if it is true that Manny Pacquiao fights for the people.* First he has to accept that he lost, the WBO must not accept the decision they gave him, and give him a no-contest,” Marquez told Mexican news outlet Proceso. In the days following Saturday nights bout between Marquez and Pacquiao, their third, promoter Bob Arum has made public comments about pursuing a fourth bout between the two boxers. Marquez also noted he would want atleast 10 million dollars for a fourth fight with Manny Pacquiao, and would want the event to be housed in Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca.
  4. Horrible....Marquez won't win a decision and if by some miracle he does do you do Marquez-Pacquaio 5?
  5. Wonder if they stack the New Years card like they have in the past. They could theoretically do a Jones-Evans fight on that card as Jones fights in September, assuming he beats Rampage of course
  6. Pics are floating around the internet of Floyd Mayweather and Bob Arum together at a SB party looking very friendly. There are a ton of things that must be sorted out first (Floyd's numerous legal problems, Pacquiao destroying Mosley) but if Mayweather (whose pretty much his own promoter) and Pacquiao's promoter are on speaking terms and are friendly then the fight has a way better chance of happening for sure. EDIT: They both sat in Jerry Jones box and were invited by him....Pacquiao-Mayweather in July @ Cowboys Stadium...get it ****ing done
  7. The problem with grabbing Sullinger is that he will probably be a prime pick (#1 or 2 IMO). Kyrie will fall (or not even come out) especially if he cannot come back this year and Jones may get exposed in the Big 12 ( has measurables for days but needs to add a bit of muscle). The kid out of Kentucky is dirty but Sullinger definitely looks to be the 2nd most "NBA ready" freshman in his class (behind Irving IMO). It would be a huge coup if the Wiz, or any team with a lot of talent for that matter, can land him but hes gone real early....
  8. Blatche and McGee got into an altercation outside of a club http://voices.washingtonpost.com/wizardsinsider/2010/12/andray-blatche-javale-mcgee-re.html
  9. Pacquiao-Mosley May7th MGM Disgusting
  10. Marquez called out Pacquiao and ripped the previous fighters he beat. He also says he won both of their previous fights (I think he def won the first one, if you give the 2nd to Pacquiao by a little thats fair IMO). Marquez Shreds Pacquiao's Record, It's Getting Personal By Jhonny Gonzalez WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez is making it very personal with Manny Pacquiao. The Mexican warrior is using every trick in the book to land a third fight with Pacquiao. At Saturday's post-fight press conference in Las Vegas, Marquez wore a t-shirt with the message "Marquez Beat Pacquiao Twice" on the front. Marquez is telling everyone who will listen that Pacquiao is running from a trilogy battle. "I do not blame Manny Pacquiao for ducking me. He knows that no other boxer in the world has taken him to the edge. He knows that I beat him and they ruled it a draw, and he also knows that I won the second fight by decision, but the judges stole it away," Marquez said. Marquez has been studying Pacquiao's every move since their rematch. When discussing Pacquiao's recent record of big wins, he ripped every single victory from the last two years. "I have studied Pacquiao, and if you take a look, all of his recent opponents have the same characteristics. They all come forward, and those are the kind that he prefers. Likewise, those who promote him have managed to always give him the ideal opponents," Marquez said. "I'll begin with Ricky Hatton, who was knocked out by Floyd Mayweather. He fought Oscar De La Hoya, who in ten years had not gone down to welterweight. Then Miguel Cotto, who got beat by Antonio Margarito. He beat Marco Antonio Barrera, who lost to me. He fought Joshua Clottey, who can't punch. And now he battered Margarito, who had been knocked out by Shane Mosley, and only had a single fight in almost two years."
  11. hahahahahahaha Sixer basketball ladies and gentleman...where Cartier Martin happens
  12. Nice when his and Iggy's contract and cleared off the cap I think this team can finally grow into a legit force. Williams is clutch, perfect 6th man for this squad...
  13. Henrich coming off a pick for a 3 has to be the play here, you would think...
  14. Well you have to have optimism, because he isn't going anywhere. His contract is immovable and you just have to grin and bear the 16/8 and soft D he currently gives and hope his brittle body can hold up for 4 more years.
  15. Oh yeah this year for sure, they are probably lottery bound. But once Turner gets use to the NBA and if Brand can stay healthy they'll be alright. They do play in the East. I think they should trade Young for some talent or picks and they need a legit center. Anytime Hawes has the ball outside of the paint you may as well write it off as a turnover...
  16. Blatche plays like a lunatic out there lol. He has to be at least 18 shots deep, I would trade 6 less shots from Blatche and give 6 more to either Wall or McGee. Holliday/Turner/Iggy/Brand/anyonebutHawes should be a solid lineup for Philly in the future
  17. Oswalt makes contact but grounds out to 3B to end it. Easily one of the most entertaining games of the year
  18. Oswalt is coming up to plate in the bottom of the 16th with 2 on and 2 outs with the game on the line
  19. Ibanez is playing 1B and just dropped the throw, it wouldve been a double play. Stros up 2...this game is crazy lol
  20. Stros score one on an infield single...bases juiced with one out
  21. Apparently the Phillies have reopened beer sales. The Astros guys just saw some dude downing one. The Phillies fans that are left are very vocal and are hilariously hammered. 2 on with 1 out....Stros have something cooking apparently.
  22. Of course the first batted ball is a liner to Oswalt and he makes the catch lol
  23. Wow this Phillies game is crazy. Its the 14 inning. Phillies have used all 7 position players. Howard gets called for a check swing and argues a little bit. Later in the AB he gets called out on strikes for going around on a check swing (wasnt even close) and is pissed. Ump throws him out and he goes ape. He loses it. Manuel also got tossed and now Oswalt is playing LF.
  24. Pascal had it, the 108-101 score was nuts. Dawson will get his rematch soon, he had Pascal dead to rights one time and didn't press to much. Lampley and Merchant are almost becoming unbearable, I'm surprised Stewart hasn't choked one of them out yet.
