ESPN has a long history with wrestling. I grew up watching territory wrestling after school on ESPN. Not to mention, this is the same ESPN that shows poker, and actually showed the world corn hole championship this past summer. They've been going down this roadbof dubious events a long time.

That whole back and forth has been going on on just about every 980 show this week. One guy will tout the ex-players that say it was Cousins fault and another guy will find some other player that says it's Grant's fault. Then it becomes which person had the more credible player supporting their position.

Word on the street is they cancelled the prank show cuz the talent complained. But that may or may not be true.

I sprung for that streaming Sunday Ticket discount for students. Thankfully, my wife is a student so I used her to get it. Sunday was the first time the stream was sketchy though. If not for the Red Zone Channel, I woulda missed the end of the game and overtime, cuz the stream was down.

This Lana/Rusev/Summer storyline is one of the biggest cluster f's they've rolled out in a while. And that's saying something. And why is Rusev losing clean to Ryback in 3 minutes? Total mess.

They should've had Becky Lynch break free from PCB. Paige is already over, Charlotte's the champ, but they've got Becky standing around as the sidekick that doesn't talk. If not for the orange hair, she just fades into the background.

I have zero problem with that whatsoever. Cleveland is more than a challenge. Best move he could've done for his career, without question.

I would have like to have seen them get Styles too. He's probably got a better thing going at this point now being on his own though. Swap out the Kanes and Stings they've been throwing at us and give us Joe and Styles on the big show.

Bah, those teams were kinda fun to watch. Agent Zero's heroics hadn't been seen in this town in decades. Dropping 60 on the Lakers, numerous buzzer beaters, good times. Didn't last long, but it was cool nonetheless.

Well, she goes back to NXT and keeps doing the job to Bayley. I think it's refreshing to have a budding star people are behind actually win their matches on a regular basis. WWE seems to have a problem with that concept. If history is any indication, they'll cool her off soon enough tho.

There was that short about them they showed on Sportscenter a while back. I guess that was technically under the 30 for 30 umbrella.

I don't see Austin wrestling ever again. That's not to say there won't be some angle set up with Lesnar, but it won't be for a match. You might see a special guest referee situation at Wrestlemania. That was the studios fault. Joss Whedon's talked about how they forced some things on him at the expense of other things he wantes to do. He had to cut out a lot of explanatory stuff regarding Thor's side journey in exhange for other things he got to keep in.

Beyond the normal gripes about Jason Reid, it's annoying how he insists on calling everybody by a nickname. Not even clever ones. And it's always something he made up. Calling Doc "Bruin", calling Keim "Cakes", he calls somebody "Young Bull". Might be Mike Jones, I can't remember. Either way, it's all stupid. He's much better on radio than he is on the sideline.

That would only make sense if Downey Jr and Charlie Cox were on the same level at the same point. Downey Jr when he was cast as Iron Man was still of a higher profile than Cox is now. As Kornheiser used to say, Cox could walk down the street today with a sign that said "I'm Charlie Cox" and still nobody but fanboys would know who he was. Times may have been slow, but RDJ was still RDJ. And his comeback had already started before Iron Man came along. IM just put a rocket pack on it.

Call me when it happens, they "discuss" a whole lot of stuff that never comes to fruition. They were "discussing" Jeremy Renner popping up on Agents of Shield since the first season, still hasn't happened. All they can muster are a couple of Nick Fury spots. And we all know Samuel L Jackson has never said no to anything. Lol With the division between the film and TV side, it probably won't happen in any meaningful way. Kevin Feige goes out of his way sometimes to talk about how, while TV and film exist in the same universe, they really dont have much to do with each other.

You're overthinking it. They all look like movie stars, carry themselves like movie stars even when they're not, you can project them doing big things, hence why they were cast. Sure, Hemsworth wasn't known, but Thor was going to have to be that simply because of the physical demand of the role. That would be the exception to the rule.You can dismiss Evans success as a leading man, but the point was he was a leading man on the big screen. Same for Downey Jr. With those two, they werent trying to make something out of nothing. And we see in how they cast Hulk, Dr. Strange, Ant-Man, etc. They're going after well known people. Unless you wanna tell me how Ruffalo, Cumberbatch, and Rudd were plucky up and comers looking for their big break. Mostly unknowns indeed. Even the supporting Avengers in the movies are Scarlett Johannsen, Jeremy Renner, etc. MCU making the star is a fallacy, save for Hemsworth, they were already stars. They may have just become bigger stars. Put Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, or Mike Colter in a starring movie role right now and see how many people show up. I'm not saying they've never been in a movie, they're not gonna get anybody hyped to see them just because it's them.

I think there's no way the Marvel Netflix characters cross over into the movies, simply based on casting. I know they've basically made it clear the two entities are separate, but I think people have hopes of the Defenders maybe showing up down the road in Infinity War in an all hands on deck situation. None of the people they cast as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage are big screen material, IMO. No disrespect to the actors, I'm sure they're talented people, but they seem decidedly small time, compared to who they cast as the leads in the movies. I think if they had any designs about these characters showing up in the big screen, they might've aimed higher.

I'd bet money it comes up, but just for show. They'll do a little dance, get folks salivating and then leave it. I think there's 0.00% chance Austin wrestles again. However, that doesn't preclude an Austin run-in at Wrestlemania.

The paint probably helps hide how old he is. But the Stinger Splash now where he gets a 6 inch vertical brings it all into focus.

That threw me for a loop. My guide clearly said the game would be in FOX. I came in this thread and saw the Sunday Ticket deal and jumped on it. I used to look for streams, but I bit the bullet and paid for the Sunday Ticket stream. First quarter was sketchy, but after that, perfect HD stream.

And they were two world titles, not this US title stuff. Actually, that wouldn't be a bad filler feud for a secondary PPV if Jericho would come back to TV. Rollins touts how great he is fir having two titles, Walls of Jericho hits, Jericho does his thing in the mic, then puts over Rollins at the PPV. Rollins wont have the belts long enough to see it, I'm sure, but whatever.WWE should really have two Divas factions rather than 3. Cuz now, you have to completely leave one out to do anything that's not a complete cluster you-know-what. Now, you gave the black faction with the stupid name, the white faction with an even stupider name, and the Nikki Bella and the two jobbers faction with the unimaginative name.
