  1. We have the richest owner in the world. He can unilaterally destroy the league.
  2. A couple more trades and those draft simulators are going to be a lot more fun next year.
  3. Just do it already. Fire the coaching staff and front office (not the ones who do the day-to-day operations). Use some kind of AI to run play selection and have the team captains manage practices. Keep trying to develop young players and otherwise trade everyone who's got any market value (except Howell).
  4. Fire the whole coaching and GM staff after the game. Get ChatGPT or whatever it's called to call plays for O and D. The captains can run the practices (worked for Theismann). Next year hopefully somebody competent actually wants to coach here.
  5. Ironically, during Snyder's ownership, we had some pretty good ones. When your OTs are Chris Samuels and Jon Jansen, you're set on the wings.
  6. Crowder should've fair caught that punt and given Howell a chance to add 61 yards (and a few more sacks along the way). Yards gained are a very indirect measure of success. Tuddies is much better. Threw 3. Granted they weren't awe-inspiring bombs but c'mon.
  7. I expect him to score a tuddy and a 2pt conver on every possession so that in the off chance we get a defensive stop, we win the game. We finally get a young guy who's actually developing into a good QB despite a sieve for an OL and a defense that exemplifies the concept that the game is played on the field not on paper, and some people are giving him grief. What does he have to do, brag about scheduling his life in 15 minute blocks of time?
  8. Maybe it's time to reconsider assumed potential vs actual production and ability to produce in the near-term. This isn't the 80's anymore. Davis may yet develop into a quality starter. Forbes may yet develop into a capable backup. Some of us may not be around by then and Rivera most likely won't.
  9. Why isn't Forbes just allowed to freelance? Seems to me that that's where he'd shine. In a passing league, you gotta let a guy like Forbes play to his strengths -- instincts, speed, and range. You can't make him primarily responsible for someone. He should play free corner.
  10. Heavy jumbo and Sam runs whichever way he prefers.
  11. If the NFL had had the 2pt conversion during the 70's and the Cardinals had refused to go for 2 in this situation, Conrad Dobler would've punched his own coach.
  12. If we go 2-15 by losing our remaining games on the last play of the game, I'm kind of ok with that. We'll be in competition for the #1 pick but won't actually be that far from being a good team. If we get a top 3 pick in that instance and trade down for a good haul, with the right drafting team, Super Bowl in '24. Mark it.
  13. The question was, if you don't trust your offense from 2 yds, what's the point? If you don't trust your offense from 2 yds, you kick it - hence the answer is the point is 1.
  14. What if there were enough downed players out of bounds that you could leap down several and then come back in at the goal line?
  15. End of the 2nd half (since the subject was the end of the 1st half) is the end of the game (if you hold them to less than you score).
  16. What you hold them to in the first half isn't as important as what you hold them to at the end of the 2nd.
  17. Did he ever learn to spell "cat"?
  18. Speaking of Moseley, last night I rewatched the '78 MNF game against Dallas. What a defensive battle with some occasional big plays from Riggins. Moseley was money, FGs of 27, 42, and 52 yds. Love that safety running the clock out.
