  1. IMO.....Scott Turner & Ken Zampese > KOC & Tim Rattay . As a pairing I think we got this right. Zampese has alot of great experience and has been a part of some serious offenses over the years and worked with some amazing QB's so he will be the one to work with DH on the daily, excited about this. As a QB coach or passing game coordinator he's worked with Carson Palmer, Andy Dalton, Kurt Warner, Baker Mayfield, Trent Green, Marc Bulger, Jon Kitna. He's had 3 big QB projects that he took lead on Carson Palmer, Andy Dalton, and Baker Mayfield...So the guy has done before exactly what we need him to do. Work with Dwayne and get him ready to go. People fretting over DH need to relax a little, we aren't discarding him, we are giving him plenty of tools to be successful.
  2. Since when does an OC get to pick “his” staff? Like what position coaches or assistant coaches are we talking about here? I just think it’s a bit presumptuous on KOC’s part about picking his people. RR is the head coach and it’s HIS staff not the OC’s... he musta been like huh? Let’s be real, if you aren’t playing games and there is no question you wanna be here long term you’d kill that story about potentially being McDaniels OC If he gets a job. This was his “ leverage card” and they made sure it got out to everyone. AND there wouldn’t be any issue about “picking your guys” for the offensive staff. This process makes me wonder about KOC a little bit, and not in a great way.
  3. I get the impression that KOC was noncommittal about continuing his time with the Skins. That he’d rather work with McDaniels (his bud), OBJ, Chubb, Hunt, Landry, and Mayfield. Why I assume this is because they’ve made sure it’s out there that he’s boys with McDaniels and would be tabbed as his OC in whatever job he gets. Everyone knows the “word on the street” even if sometimes they pretend they keep their heads in the sand. Going with someone younger and up and coming is not a surprise given his familiarity with Turner. Ron knows what he can do and not do having worked with Him for 3 years. I’m totally fine with the decision. Overall Offensive systems and coaching is trending way younger in the NFL., at least seems that way. I think the two guys are very similar. They are both well regarded young offensive minds. Turner has more experience in coaching while KOC has more experience playing football at a high level. Turner has the better pedigree given his dads success in the NFL, while KOC has the year with Haskins under his belt to bring to the table. I don’t know for certain we are missing out on something special with KOC while At the same time it cannot be discounted that we may have hired someone special in regards to Turner. I’m 100% on board with what Ron wants to do because that’s what we’ve brought him here for. Set his staff and plan in place and begin to execute it. Change is part of life, QBs either got it or don’t, not too worried about Haskins because If Turner has his stuff together he will make sure to cater the offense to what DH likes and does well, within his philosophy and design of the offense.
  4. Love seeing Chase in Skins gear as a kid and the antiCowboy tweets. Love Love Love. Meant to be, but I’d still change the title of this thread. Just in case.
  5. There is no need to rush really. I’m totally fine that whoever he chooses it will be the right fit for Ron. It’s a pretty big deal in this case because he’s a Defensive coach. To hand over an NFL offense to a young unproven guy like KOC Is a decision you can see he doesn’t take lightly. I’m fine with giving him some time to see what KOC and others have planned if they got the job. Then pick who is best for him.
  6. This is well deserved. He’s a game changer.
  7. @Panninho yeah my post was all hope, not really a declarative statement. I realize JJ is the most likely winner. Just making an ES case for our guy...🤙🏽
  8. If Mclaurin ends the season with two big games I think he’s got a shot.. he’s Definitely the underdog in the scenario. This is where I think it stands today. 1. Jacobs (Most likely out the ROS) 2. AJ Brown (averaging 10 yds Rac, wow) 3. Terry (more catches, tied TD’s w/ Brown, less avg/catch, and 50 less yards.) 4. Kyler (eh, OK but work to do) 5. Minshew (May have a better case than Kyler) Let’s Go TERRY! Lol
  9. He is the Real Deal. He can be as good as he wants to be and it looks like he wants to be real real good. He’s a game changer in every way. We are lucky to have him. What he is doing with our QB and Team situation this season is UNBELIEVABLE! He merits serious consideration for Offensive rookie of the year.
  10. He was the only ILB to flash multiple times on Sunday. This group is still an issue, it’s better, but still not great. Would love to see more from Bostic and SDH.
  11. We need you to shine Big fella!! Hope he starts to feel more comfortable, and balls out. This week is a good week to start.
  12. Excited to see TM on a GO route and let him go get it. Hope he brings the needed spark to our offense. Dam well know we need it.
  13. If we are planning on starting Case then I’d like to see him work in this next preseason game with Doctson, Richardson, Mclaurin, Reed and Davis. Have them get on the same page early.
  14. Yes! It’s around the corner. Me and the fam will be in Richmond for fam appreciation and kids day aug 2-7. The kids and I are getting out first taste of Skins camp, hope it inspires them to be lifelong fans! Poor little guys..lol.
  15. Dude is sounding more and more like the total package. Can’t wait to see him compete.
  16. One of the things that I’m exited for is how well he gets after it vs. the Run. He’s gonna need it too because they are gonna run right at him a lot. He’s game though not too worried. But there is no doubt you need to let the young man attack the QB all day. Use that length and speed to wreck shop. His addition gets lost in the QB hype but his affect can be huge.
  17. Montez has a way more dynamic game than Preston, I'm excited to see what his addition brings to an already young and hungry D. Think we got a steal.
  18. Belichick dominated Mcvay. Pats win with D, a short passing game, and a good run game. Sometimes we wanna make it more complicated than it is.
  19. @KillBill26 yeah I hear you, it’s just my opinion. I wouldn’t trade much for either Garcon or Jackson. Push comes to shove I probably wouldn’t pull the trigger for Tate either, even though I do believe he’s the best available of the three. We’ll see what we end up doing but my guess at this point would be no major trades for a WR.
  20. O chance I pay anything more than a 7th for Garcon. Golden Tate however, would be stellar. He's extremely underrated.
  21. Really wish Sims was the one ready, unlikely we use both on WR’s. Wonder if this means Crowder to IR given he has a few more weeks to go it looks like.
  22. @Morneblade His career game log stats, just go year by year. http://www.nfl.com/player/alexsmith/2506340/gamelogs?season=2005
  23. @Morneblade What I said was he's proven he can throw for 3+ TD's 1-4 times a season. And he has, the proof is below. Interpret it how you like, but the discussion was on if we've seen his best, and the fact is we haven't and he has 3TD + capability in him at least 1-4 games a season. He's done it 20 times in his career, with more than half of those coming in the last 5 years. 2017- 4 games of 3+ TD's 2015- 1 game of 3+ TD's 2014- 2 games of 3+ TD's 2013- 4 total games of 3+ TD's (1 was in the playofffs) 2012- 2 games of 3+ TD's 2011- 2 games of 3+ TD's (1 was in the playoffs) 2010- 2 games of 3+ TD's 2009- 2 games of 3+ TD's 2006- 1 game of 3+ TD's All I'm saying is we have not seen his best work yet, imo. No more no less.
  24. @Morneblade I don't think we've seen anywhere close to his ceiling. He hasn't looked comfortable for 4 quarters. He's still thinking, imo. Either it's the Oline getting dominated, the receivers looking sluggish, or him just being downright inaccurate, the Sprinkle pass last weekend. He's proven the ability throughout his career to throw for 3+ td's in a game, 1-4 times a season... We haven't seen that yet, I think we will at some point.
