  1. Forgot about that. Yes, why spend a significant part of the ball game back and forth to the pisser after drinking overpriced freaking Bud Light when for a little more you can actually enjoy sonething decent?
  2. There was an optional warning light put in place for a reason. Wouldn’t it be logical to surmise that somebody must have an inkling prior to the plane being made available if they felt the need to put a “hey your plane is going to throw you into the ground at 500mph” light in place? of course, said light was optional to the tune of $80k per airframe but is now going to be standard..... all that to say, call it a hunch but I’m guessing LionAir wasn’t the first time this issue was noted
  3. I love the food options at the park but I also go in knowing I’m about to drop $100 bill on it. I’m sure I could pull it off for less but, meh. A dozen raw oysters (not sure I’ll be doing that in non R months) were pretty pricey, apps (empanadas and roasted corn) at the restaurant not crazy bad, $8-10 at the Brew House restaurant and a great view of the field. If you’re going to go hot dog, pass on the foot long and go split and grilled or add a buck and go tricked out Italian sausage. Figure it’s a given that eating at the ballpark isn’t exactly a cost effective method of sustenance. The best option is always going to be eat before you come, push away from the ol feedbag for 3 hrs and watch the game. Invest in a bottomless cup and pack that in your bag ;).
  4. The only thing missing is Bob Eucker to call the play by play a la “Major League”
  5. We were directly under the scoreboard, right where the above video was shot. 140 sections were tour bus Phillies fans. From our perspective it was all Phils, all the time. There were issues, see above, but meh, seen worse. I will say, for all their drunkenness, when the time came, they were singing with conviction to the anthem and God Bless America, respectful to the military acknowledgements, breaking into a few USA chants. Then of course, they went back to revelling in their victory lap.
  6. It’s early but yeah, #overrun. Sure it will change w the later arriving home crowd but looking 50/50 right now
  7. Well, looked at the Navy Yard Hampton for rooms two days ago for the April 2/3 Phillies games, not bad, $190 bucks. Today, sold out. Residence Inn, out. Courtyard ~$350 The Boo Bryce Premium, lol
  8. CM submitted to a frigging crossface (or facecrank depending on your lingo) not a choke. I've seen no pictures or video that show a rear naked choke sunk in under the chin. yes, a crossface is......discomforting but it is in no way a choke. A rematch after tapping to a crossface?.......book it **and for the record, I wouldn't have minded seeing CM win. I don't like commies.
  9. Agree, jockey fight. like watching NASCAR drivers roll around like puppies and call it a fight
  10. (I don't know how to post the actual trailer clip but if anyone would care to help, I'd appreciate it) Not exactly a high budget film BUT my wife plays one of the principle characters, so there ya go. The film will be premiered locally on January 19th and then go out to theaters, churches and various youth organizations. It was filmed in Va, W. Va and NJ and It's based on true events. What the heck, Erik Estrada is in it so it's gotta be good. I was mainly there for moral support during the filming but they say it's a faith based film along the lines of "Courageous" (never seen it, just telling you what they say....) Name of the film is "Finding Faith" and link to the film website is: http://findingfaithfilm.com/
  11. '00 Celica, 1.8 liter turn the key, hear the click of the solenoid. battery checks ok changed the starter now when I attempt to start vehicle, it sounds like the piston from the starter is hitting against the flywheel (i.e.: it's not lined up) A: since the starter piston is in the retracted position when you install it, is there a way to insure that it will be liined up? B: is there a way to check the alignment w/out putting all the crap back together? C. am I missing something and completely screwed?
  12. thanks for the replies. although I do a lot of my own work, I'm thinking I may be better off to write the check on this one.
  13. How hard and what. if any, special tools are required to replaced the rt front ball joint on a '00 Nissan Frontier, 4wd?
  14. half-axle and wheel bearing in my son's piece o'crap mobile tomorrow. wish me luck......
  15. so you didn't like the EliteXC "production"?..........guess what  A story came out that Vince McMahon...yes THAT Vince McMahon, is interested in buying the UFC off of the Fertita Brothers. Dana White seems to be involved as well as a possible part owner. The WWE has been in a ratings death spiral and the UFC is getting record ratings with their Spike show and Pay Per Views.
  16. ok, here's my latest project: These are the steps going up to my front porch. They have settled and are not level (the pic w/the level doesn't show but the bubble is pinned to the left) and they are actually causing bricks to be pulled from the side of the house. (that's what tried to show in the 2nd pic. about mid-way up the downspout, you can see the gap where the brick is being pulled out) Anywho,,,,,the only two ideas I have to fix this are: 1 - dig a trench under the whole mess and attempt to jack it up and then pour a foundation underneath it. or 2 - blow the entire mess up and put a wrap-around porch in it's place. However, this option would entail mucho work b/c this thing is solid. any other ideas?
  17. thank you sir, after all....safety first
  18. do NOT simply buy a bigger breaker. not for your average ham and egger, run another circuit and ADD a breaker in your box. This is assuming that you have room in the breaker box. of course, if you REALLY never want the breaker to blow again, just replace it with a wrench........(**allow me to edit this for those of you that may be a little sarcasmtardy. This is sarcasm. Do NOT do this b/c yes, your appliances will continue to run, HOWEVER there is a distinct possibility that your home may burn down around the wrench....)
  19. http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2003560001-2007300340,00.html WRESTLER Chris Benoit murdered his seven-year-old son with his WWE finishing move, police have said. Cops in Georgia are speculating that Benoit, 40, ended Daniel's life with a version of the Crippler Crossface hold the morning after strangling his wife Nancy, 43, to death. Later that day Benoit committed suicide. The Crippler Crossface was a move Benoit used in almost all his wrestling matches, including when he beat Triple H for the heavyweight title at WrestleMania XX. Police were originally confused by bruising on the young lad that wouldn't have been there had he been strangled. Then an officer watched a wrestling tape, quickly realising that the marks on Daniel's body matched the application of a version the Crossface. The version Chris used in WWE rings involved him placing an arm of a floored opponent between his legs before locking his hands around their face and pulling back to stretch their neck.
