If I'm reading htis box score right we had a grand total of TEN that's 1-0 yards rushing in the first half. I'd say our run game is worse than both

Speaking of Howell seeing a lot of break down vids from recent games and people seem optimistic.  I'm not saying he's Peyton or Brady, but I wonder if he could be serviceable a while like a certain other ACC QB was in Atlanta and Houstan (Matt Schaub).  And may give us the windoe to retool the core of the O and D while we figure out if he's worth the third contract.  At the moment I'd strongly be leaning toward early extension talks next year unless he craters at years end .

I would hate to lose EB, but I trust Harris to do what he thinks is in the best interest of the team generally.

His first hire might be a flub, there's no way to know, but it can't be worse than Jim Zorn or a retread Shanahan.

What I wondered, is what happens in Dallas if McCarthy Gets fired.  Do they elevate Dan Quinn?  if Quinn is available, do you grab him as a a HC and let EB run the offense?

I know, 'stealing' a dallas coach got us a Norval syndrome, but we've had a hard time with consistency since Norv (minus 2 years of Gibbs).

Riley is one of the college guys I keep hearing, but I have not seen how he plays now as coach.  I'm worried this looks like Spurrier 2.0 Just with a lot less Gun and almost no Fun.
 

so I thought for a while that they were doing a 5-2 set up not a 4-2.   five lineman means unless they keep in 2 tight ends and maybe the back, that you have mulitple guys with single blockers. a 5-2 could easily become a 3-4 if an end or tackle drop, or a 4-3 just to mess with people.  I'm not sure we ahve the smarts at end for that, and I think allen payne are btter being disruptive in the middle of the dline than dropping into coverage.  so I would not switch to 3-4.

This is why I remain a fan, because we as a franchise after all the crap we've dealt with can still have humor like this.  Its why I keep coming back here, despite being at arms length with the team right now.  But I think if Harris continues to make wise moves, I can stop being standoffish soon.  I'm hopeful.

I'm ready to move on from Ron, but I like what EB and O staff are doing.  Defense needs cleaned up a lot.

I think we all anticipate changes.  what if harris doesn't make the changes you think in the offeseason to the staff?
