    In programmer parlance:

    Dim HeadCoachIsAss as Boolean

    Set HeadCoachIsAss = True

    Do While HeadCoachIsAss=True

        FireCoach()

        Rebuild = Rebuild + 1

        Hope = Hope - 1

    Loop

    Hey at least we have now commented this part out:

    //if (this.Owner == "Dan Snyder")
            //{
                //throw new InvalidOwnerException("Fatal Error!!!: Owner is a useless dip****!");
            //}

    Actually it should be:

    Sub CheckOwner()
        If Me.Owner = "Dan Snyder" Then
            Throw New InvalidOwnerException("Fatal Error!!!: Owner is a useless dip****!")
        End If
    End Sub

  2. Wow, so all season a bunch of us wondered about sweat or payne, or young.  Did anyone have traide both DEs on their fire sale?

    But this team is so bad on Oline, even if the D were good, and just worn out at end of games because of bad O, we don't have an O to go to the SB right now.  We have glimpses, but need OL and maybe one more depth WR.  (Possibly a TE, but I don't expect them to find one that can block and catch well)

  3. Going back to the Op I agree with KDawg.  This game was lost at the Game Plan stage, long before they took the field.

    When you saw them get overly aggressive in a goaline situation, rather than Kick a field goal, they signaled that only 6 is going to be enough, and they basically abdicated any type of strategy that could have left Diggs and Allen on the bench for long periods of time.  That is the way Buffalo, and KC tend to play.

    True, Sam had a bad game, he had some terrible reads (maybe terrible throws too).  We gave him no help or support.  Unless this game was thrown away to try things we thought would not fly in a closer game, we basically declared defeat when the Game Plan was assembled.  It seems some teams have PTSD against offenses like Buffalos and KC.   Maybe we need therapy for Ron and company.

  4. I'm here because I know I am suffering from Depression.  Its not just the apathetic nature of this team, its revolving turn style of players an coaches, the inept front office, and ignorant management.  I saw no reason for optimism in the off season based on the moves that were made.  Even if I wasn't down on particular moves, I saw pieces, not a team coming together.   Today I thought Maybe I can watch them this week.  Turned it on late... we had 2 points.....

    I flipped the channel, this team just brings me more grief to try and follow it regularly right now.  I don't know what it would take to get the fan in me excited again.

    Yeah I think this take is a little premature. Let's see what happens for the next 5 years before we judge the new format. So far there have been 5 games and only 2 of them were really games. But it's certainly not a good start to have the other 3 be blowouts. At least the Steelers kept it interesting for a little over a quarter.

    Tonight's game should be a decent one.

    I remember many many playoff games for decades that were blow outs.  A lot depends on matchups.

    3. I'm hearing some in the media trying to blame McCarthy for Dak not knowing that the ref had to set the ball. How the hell does Dak not know that? As much as you're paying him and he doesn't know QB 101?

    This one scares me a little, because there are some idiots in the media that will try to find a way to turn this into some kind of 'racially motivated biars issue'.  (It isn't, the entire exchange is odd).   This is something that sets the elite QBs like Brady and Rodgers from the next two tiers.  Some QBs run the plays as called, some QBs change the play so that the team gets the best outcome.  For whatever reason, Dak wasn't able to do that, and I do not believe it was his fault.  (Despite that he could have done a better job after going down)

    Remember when the Umpire used to be on the other side of the ball in 2 minute situations?

    Of course noone will look at all the undisciplined play.

    Noone will look at who dallas played, and that defense was lights out against sub .500 teams.

    Dallas literally beat noone of consequence all season.  That's the truth, The irony that Jimmy G almost gift wrapped the game for dallas and they still found a way to not come back is just so hilarious as a WFT fan.

  7. "When you only have 4 playoff wins in 25 years, something is wrong."  - Max Kellermen

    "There are some teams with no play off wins though." - Keyshawn Johnson

    "that is a super talented team, but again they come up short, what a surprise". - Rex Ryan after playing the ultimate sarcasm card

  8. For the record despite the blip of a streak, I gave up on this team this year a long time ago. It was clear we weren't going to have stability this year and the covid stuff have only exasperated the problem. But I stand by what I said I think some changes on the coaching staff will have to happen. the question is which ones, and will Ron be able to make the right ones. I'm not confident that he will see the right one or or bring in the right person to make a difference.

    I also think that addition by subtraction at a few positions on defense and the offensive line will be necessary but I don't necessarily think it's all doom and gloom. if we get one or two replacement pieces that can do better than what those pieces did this year, then there could be a marked improvement.

    I'm not saying we'd be playoff-caliber next year, if that's going to come down to quarterback play and I'm not confident we'll be able to get a quarterback that's Worthy of giving a contract to in this offseason. And if that's the case then I don't necessarily see a reason of getting rid of Ron because we won't be able to do anything in the draft.  Which means we need to reload at a few positions and figure out which players we want to keep long-term past 24 add anybody not in the 24 to 28 timeframe should not be retained this year

  9. I think it will come down to this: I think Dan Snyder or whoever acts as his voice will want to keep Rivera, but he may get an ultimatum that he needs to look closely at his staff and overhaul it. And I'm not even sure where to start there. it's really hard to honestly look at Turner when the offense hasn't had key pieces all year long. not even for a single game, did it have all the pieces. I mean coaches can only coach the talent that's available for any given game.

    But I suspect Ron will not want to change, and will instead offer to resign instead thus alleviating Dan of the need to fire him. I have to think that the way they played last night was an embarrassment to Rivera and even though I think they really need another offseason year to really be able to be in any kind of contention - I have always felt that since before the year started - I do not see how this continues.  And I think that the chemistry on the team is wrong on both sides of the ball. it shows up in how the offensive line blocks  it shows up in how the defense has players out of position all of the time.   As much as I want to thank the coaches are responsible if the players are not playing how they are coached then no coach can fix it.  It may be time to liquidate.

  10. Seriously, I don't care who the QB is right now.  Did he make some mistakes, sure, but he's not tom brady or brett favre reborn.   Those who thought he was, we were fooling ourselves.  This team has a lot of holes.  Two or three of them on the oline (players out with injuries).  I like Gibson and McKissic, but we do not have a featured running back that really scares anyone.   Terry Mac is running fiery divots on the field in his routes, but the ball is always late (that is only part Heinicke's part, going off schedule means being late).  This is a Turner Style offense, look back to the days of Norv and what did you need?  A QB who could deliver the ball on time.  That is not Taylor's forte, never has been.  His ability to dance around looking down field is great, but the fact that he has to do so means this team is not as good inside where it matters.

    I keep hearing about how communication on the field is a problem.  How is that possible when you have vets like Landon and Kendall back there?  Some egos need to be benched to make a point if you ask me.  Frankly I don't care if we win another game.  If players can't communicate, then their talent is wasted, as is our time spent watching this monstrosity of a team.

    Ugh.... I canceled my hulu live subscription at end of the month, there is no point to keep watching this heart attack inducing type of play.

  11. I honestly thought I had seen the last straw for the season.... then I heard about the painted numeral on the ground (grass that can be ripped up and replaced in an instance.)  How about  putting it on the wall of FedEx somewhere instead?  No that wasn't the straw for me.  It was this morning when i heard players said 'enough with the smoke!'  Yes we are so inept, not only can we mess up what should have been a long planned life remembrance of a player who impacted us so greatly., no in something as routine as the entrance to the field, we can't even make sure that is safe so that our players don't trip, or harm any one else around while running onto the field.

    I never thought I'd say this, I'm thinking seriously of tearing up my fan card.   I was there for the doug and Rypien days too.   I remember how crazy things were at times even then, but today, it felt like a hole in my heart was gone, a hole I can only compare to the loss of my beloved wife last february in a sudden tragic event.

    I don't recognize Washington Football anymore.    I want to hide any time Hopkins is on the field.  If the ball is thrown toward Landon collins I wince as if in pain.    And every time we see a QB roll out I know, he's getting the first, or a tight end will be open right in the middle of the field.  Why even have this defensive line if the back 7 can't hold coverage for long.

    Yeah I feel pretty bad about this weekend, and for once it isn't even about the score anymore.  It felt like we lost this game before kickoff even occurred.

    Fitz’s injury could be a blessing in disguise. I’m no coach but I can see that this offense was totally stagnant while he was in there, and I’m counting preseason games. We haven’t score a TD while he was in and as soon as he leaves, we score. I’m no football guru, but that’s telling to me.

    Dude, the chargers dline spent so much time in our backfield I wondered if someone on the OL was tipping them off at the LoS.   But then, we I can predict the lousy crap we run, and I don't even remember a play from last year.... that's pretty bad imo.

  13. Wait till we play the hapless giants and blow their doors off and everyone is like playoffs here we come.

    This team going back to last year, is not consistent on any side of the ball that doesn't feature Tres Way.  Until they fix that.... nothing more can be done.

    everyone on the roster should be tradeable if it'll help make us better in the long run... If it's a qb we're missing, go for Deshaun Watson (pending legal suit). If we're leaving the middle of the field open, trade for a MLB (not Bostic). If it's the OC, get rid of his ass. We're always 'middle of the road' which doesn't help anyone.

    WHo replaces Turner though? I get the play calling seemed uninspired, but there are no good solutions there if you ask me.

  14. A bunch of asked, okay when you let Trent Go.... what are you doing at LT?  Is leno the long term solution? Really?

    A bunch of us asked, why does the offense not seem crisp at all? What the heck does that mean?

    You can't fault the D for not getting off the field, when the O  was so poor.  We were one turnover away from really being blown out if you ask me.
