    The Olive Jar

I actually think that we'll pull this one out.  Not sure why, just have a feeling.

The guy covering the game is insanely awesome and has a perfect record at the Meadowlands, so that could be it, too.

Will The Home Opener Crowd Be Empty Again?

I hope not. I feel like there is a lot more buzz (Haskins, monster defense, very storong running game) around this team going into the season then last season.

Yeah, but all of which were absent last week.  Tickets are still available for Dallas.  DALLAS!

    It blows my mind.

I like it. Succinct. Solid takes. Nice wrap-up with the team's attitude.

Are you going to be New Rick?

Thank you sir.  And no, can't be New Rick.  We discussed changing my name to another all-time Redskins great, Skip Hicks, but I'm not getting any support from the wife on the home front.

Unless an eye roll is support.  Then I'm set.

Fashion Files ~ The Case The Color Rush

I voted burgundy before being reminded of the 2005 white uniforms.  I'm now for white on white, but I feel like any team could do that and so it wouldn't be Redskins-specific color rush that they're looking to ruin our eyes with.  Gold on gold would put this game on the radio for me.

    Reviewing The Chiefs

    Damn, man.  Nice write up!

Before reading this it just seemed like KC was indominatable, but it seems like a poor Philly defense almost kept them in check.  Manusky seems to be about taking away the big play, and I hope that Nicholson's pick on the second play of the OAK game will make Reid think twice, along with that huge hit on Crabtree that ended his day.

I don't have much evidence of us keeping a speed back in check.  With the Rams, we were up 20-10 pretty quickly and I wonder if that limited them on the run.  I think that our best defense was a good offense in that we ran like crazy and held the ball for almost a full quarter more than they did.  If we can keep the ball out of Smith's hands, then I think we have a shot.  I think it'll really come down to committing to the run and picking up first downs.

I ended up leaving at Halftime & kept asking Siri for score updates since TuneIn was having issues trying to stream the 980 feed. Ended up getting to my gate just as they should have started boarding. Except that the ****ing plane hadn't even landed & made it in yet. Thankfully it was only pushed back by about 15 minutes. Anyways, just got home, thinking about turning the phone off & starting Walking Dead, which thankfully I've been able to avoid spoilers for.

Seriously?!  Definitely a terrible day in general for Redskins Nation.

    Nicely done, bro.

    Agree on the theme, too.

I think we've made the playoffs every year we've won in NY the last decade save for 2011.

    Thanks!

Couple of times per minute, you mean.

  1. Hard to get much worse.  I hope that we as fans remember that while positive yards/points/wins are nice, coaches specifically put players in tough positions in order to see if they can succeed.  I was getting a little flustered until I remembered that there's no Jordan Reed out there to keep defenses honest, no Trent Williams to keep defenses on their asses, and the center/left guard positions weren't static.
