  1. This may be shocking to you but that hearing had no effect on my sleep one way or the other. I guess I trust Eleanor Norton's judgement over the battered fans opinion. Keep believing you would have felt the same way either way if it helps you sleep. It's not very believable though. Emotions cloud judgement and you appear pretty emotional about this.
  2. I'm not carrying Dan's water. I'm saying Eleanor Norton is not irresponsible as you and others claim. But your last few posts have shown why you're probably confused by that.
  3. Right. And then be disappointed when the Representative didn't play along. It really has nothing to do with him and everything to do with her Oh, that's your go to schtick. Clever. Really clever
  4. Yes, that's the one that says exactly what you wanted. I concede I'm not as internet skilled as you. I didn't even mix upper case and lower case!
  5. Clearly just a couple of folks in search of the truth. No desired outcome at all. I can't imagine why they'd be even a little disappointed that a respected member of Congress, and hardly a Snyder apologist, would say what she did. Which is hardly exonerating Your earlier post betrays you.
  6. I'm guessing you wouldn't feel that way if this Norton person, who actually happens to be an elected member of Congress and not some staffer, said something you wanted to hear
  7. If I had that kind of money I'd probably buy a jet boat. I hear lake life is the ****. And maybe even an airplane. Wouldn't even have to worry about borrowing from my 401k
  8. I have been thinking for a few years that it would settle at 4x16 team conferences and an 8 team playoff with conference championship as the first round.
  9. Ha! Difference is I don't claim to be an expert on it. My post said he, or more accurately the team, is liquid enough to sign Terry. Which some seemed to think he, or more accurately the team, was not. And yeah, I am pretty confident that people hanging out on a message board, this message board are not experts on it either. Are you claiming you are an expert or just insinuating it? One of those people who maybe do for a living something that would give them keen insight into the finances of billionaires and billion dollar sports leagues.
  10. Then the question was a stupid question. Just like the question that serves as the title of thread. Finances of ultra wealthy people and NFL franchises are 2 things that few people on this board actually understand. I don't understand how it works and don't claim to. But with revenue sharing of just about everything related to the NFL(tv, tickets, merchandise) there isn't a whole lot that differentiates one franchise from the other. Stadium situation and premium seats are about the 2 biggest. This isn't MLB
  11. But liquid enough to extend Terry. Which the board appeared to be unsure of. As far as the franchise? Forbes has them valued at number 5. And operating income at #6. Not sure what you base your "probably" on.
  12. It seems there is enough money available to sign Terry. So that question of liquidity is answered.
  13. Man, folks need to retake 7th grade civics class! Congress, the legislative branch, can pass laws. The executive branch, at the direction of the President, enforces laws. Interesting for all the alleged malfeasance there's been not a word out of the DOJ. Congress could ask the DOJ to pursue an investigation on Snyder for refusing to comply with a subpoena. I suspect he's trying to run out the clock. We'll see how he manages the game clock
  14. If he assembled a team that won a championship nobody would care about the rest. Well, that's not fair. Some people would care. But the vast majority care more about results on the field than anything else. There are 32 teams in the league built for equality. Math says we should get a championship about once every 32 years. We, Washington fans, have 3. We're due again at super bowl 96
  15. I can honestly say that each time Washington raised a Lombardi I never once thought "so glad for Jack and the Cooke family". I don't like Snyder. I doubt I have anything in common with the Snyders, or Leonsisisisis, or Lerner's. I really enjoyed the championship runs of the Skins back in the day. And the Caps and Nats more recently. Never once did I think of the ownership and their morality. My guess is none of them share my values.(I've never had "making maximum profits" as the top of my list).
  16. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/06/14/senate-gun-deal-uvalde-buffalo-shooting-mark-shift/ There is good news about gun policy in America. But it’s not the bipartisan agreement that emerged on Capitol Hill this week. The deal between 10 Republican and 10 Democratic senators is better than nothing. But it amounts to small-bore measures that don’t really address the central problem — the broad availability and circulation of guns in the United States, including weapons such as the AR-15 that are often used in mass shootings. The danger is that passing this legislation will take the heat off lawmakers, particularly Republicans, to adopt truly meaningful solutions.
  17. I hope it has more impact than it seems like it will.
  18. You beat me to it. And had a Gif! We both forgot about the poor lady who OD'd! I'm guessing Pelosi probably provided the drugs. I challenge anyone to prove that didn't happen!
  19. They likely couldn't handle the grueling physical demands walking that far placed on their cardiovascular system. Not the most physically fit bunch.
  20. These people don't care about conservative. They don't care about police. They don't care about the military. They care about Trump. And only respect others who are loyal to him
