  1. This is the only logical conclusion for the 2012 season.
  2. I wonder why Ricky Ervins never lived up to his potential after his rookie year.
  3. If Mark Rypien had stayed healthy in 1990, the Redskins would have won the super bowl. ---------- Post added July-14th-2012 at 12:25 AM ---------- I was at the game in 2010 when the skins had them beat but choked. I think they're in trouble this year. ---------- Post added July-14th-2012 at 12:29 AM ---------- Another random thought: Ricky Sanders' 1988 season was very underrated. 73 receptions, 1148 yds, 12 tds.
  4. glad i made a couple people laugh. Wizards fans (me included) need it.
  5. Does anyone know if Yao Ming is healthy? Maybe the Wizards could pick him up and ship Nene to the Nets for Deron.
  6. So, how about that Wladimir Klitschko guy? Seems like a promising prospect. How do you think he'd fare against Ali? I say Ali in 3 rounds.....
  7. In case you're wondering, I'm considering purchasing a piece of land in western MD to eventuallly build a cabin. Thing is, I don't want to pour a concrete foundation, which would require that the property be graded, etc. I'd like to keep the "land" as pristine as possible, so my solution to build on wood pilings, like what you would see at the beach. Three issues I can forsee are (1) plumbing/how to get water to a raised structure while ensuring that pipes will don't freeze (2) insulation of the underside of the structure, and (3) building a stone chimney to a raised structure.
  8. Below the frost line I assume is the rule. How far, maybe 18 inches? We're talking western MD.
  9. Question-- What is the best way to anchor 12" pilings into dirt for the purpose of a foundation for a (small) house?
  10. He'd be Shaka Dumb to take this job. Imagine taking your first NBA coaching position, but having no chance of success until you clean out all but 2 guys from your roster. Could be until 2014 before this franchise is ready to compete.
  11. I have another idea. Think about this-- what happens if a player just decides to leave a team and go do something else. Does the team still take the cap hit? Here's what I propose. (1) We need to find something that Andray Blatche really, really, really likes. Something he can't live without. (2) We need to buy as much of this thing as possilbe, like a few $$$million$$$ worth. (3) We need to go to Australia and find a decently large piece of land and buy it (~10 acres). (4) We need to take this special thing that Andray loves so much and put it all over the land, some out in the open, some underground or hidden, (5) We need to tell Andray about this awesome place where all this stuff is located, and (5) We need to get him a plane ticket to the nearest airport, and hire a chauffer service to pick him up at the airport, take him to the land, and leave him there. Then we need to blow up the airport, to be safe. I bet there's a good 70-80% we won't see him again, and we'll have some extra cap room next year.
  12. Yeah, but i just started paying attention last Friday. I get to say it at least five more times before I become obnoxious.
  13. Simple, its because we have guys like Jordan Crawford, Andray Blatche, and Nick Young. Perhaps the 3 most selfish players in the league (well maybe not, there's quite a few in the league). Crawford shouldn't be in the NBA, and Blatche and Young are tossing up as many bombs as possible while auditioning for their next team. Why pass the ball to the new guy?
  14. Well, looks like Jr. is taking over. Doesn't look good. Sometimes the devil you know...
  15. Right, I can hear it clicking but nothing happens to the actual lock. Its a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport.
  16. The power lock on the passenger side of my Ford Explorer no longer works. The buttons all work, but the actual lock itself on that side seems as if its not catching or something. Any thoughts on how to fix without paying out the ass?
  17. Thanks for the quick info. I'll watch it closely and have my mechanic take a look at it in the next few days.
  18. Question: I have a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport, manuel transmission. In the past 2 weeks, I've noticed a burning smell coming from under the hood. It smells like burning clutch fluid or something of that nature. My father noted that my radiator fluid was low the other day, so we put some more antifreeze in the resevoir. I noticed today that the fluid level has diminished about 1/2 an inch in the last 3 days. I have not noticed anything leaking under the car. I've had this problem (the smell) before and it went away on its own, but never checked to see if the antifreeze level changed. My question is: Does the level of radiator fluid in the reservoir change depending on certain conditions? Can you determine what problem I may have? Thanks.
  19. Thanks for you advice and the thoughtful reply.
  20. I drive a stick shift ford explorer. About 3 years ago, I had the master cylinder and the slave cylinder replaced for the clutch. Over the last few weeks, it's been more difficult to put the thing into 1st gear from neutral. Does this mean that I may have to get a new clutch pretty soon?
