  1. Maybe. The upcoming schedule isn't going to do us any favors: @Patriots, Saints, @Panthers, Giants, Cowboys, @Bears, Bills, @Eagles, @Cowboys. Of course we get the Cowboys when Romo and Dez should be back and healthy. @NE and @CAR definitely don't look easy and are probable losses. If we can split the division games and then get 2 out of Saints, @Bears, and Bills, that would get us to 7 wins. Possible? Sure. Likely? Going to be tough. Still, impressed with some things this team has done so far. Going into the bye at 3-4 feels like an accomplishment.
  2. You're more than likely correct. It's also the same reason players can't wear socks a certain way or certain color cleats, etc. It's just the NFL making rules to make rules.
  3. If you get a concussion during the season and want to change helmets to try a "safer" (if there is such a thing) helmet, I don't think they'd stop you. For some reason, they just don't want teams to have multiple color helmets.
  4. Lol nope, just stopped going here for a couple weeks. It's refreshing, but I'm ready to have some fun now!
  5. Back from a self imposed break from this place and feeling refreshed. Who's ready to party?
  6. I mean there's a slight chance it could still head this way, but for the most part, most models have it staying OTS
  7. Are you sure? Everything I've read seems pretty confident that it's not going to effect the East Coast
  8. That's more what I meant. That we can keep the amendment, but the interpretation of it needs to change.
  9. Every time I hear people talk about how the 2nd Amendment shouldn't be changed, I go back to this: "I am not an advocate for frequent changes in laws and constitutions, but laws and institutions must go hand in hand with the progress of the human mind. As that becomes more developed, more enlightened, as new discoveries are made, new truths discovered and manners and opinions change, with the change of circumstances, institutions must advance also to keep pace with the times. We might as well require a man to wear still the coat which fitted him when a boy as civilized society to remain ever under the regimen of their barbarous ancestors." --Thomas Jefferson
  10. Honestly, with Twitter and so many blogs/sites dedicated to the Redskins anymore, the Stadium isn't like it used to be in terms of finding breaking team news. The Stadium now, is really just for arguing at this point. Even the Twitter thread, which had good intentions at the beginning, has become a mess to sort through anymore.
  11. Here's the latest from the NHC:
  12. pj, I haven't been in the Stadium since early preseason. There's honestly no reason to go over there. If I want Skins news, I can find it myself. The same arguments get rehashed in there over and over again. It's pointless.
  13. At this point, nothing. We've seen schools, recruiting centers, movie theaters, etc. and still nothing has changed. How so? We have laws saying people have to wear seat belts to protect them, but we can't change gun laws to protect people?
  14. "We have seatbelt laws because we know it saves lives. The notion that gun violence is somehow different......doesn't make sense." - Barack Obama
  15. Alf is such a cool dude. Let's never get rid of him please!
  16. Kirk Cousins has some white teeth
  18. I'd have to think if these current tracks hold, there's no way the game is played Sunday.
  19. That's what I'm worried about. We were hit pretty hard in SoMD with Isabel about 10 years ago. Lots of flooding, trees down, people without power for over a week, etc. Really don't want to go through all that again.
  20. I don't like the sound of this:
  21. Guess he forgot that this team was 5-5 in 2010, then proceeded to lose 5 of their last 6 games. Or in 2011, when we were 3-1 to start and finished 2-10. But, that would mean Shanny choked while he was here. And in those years, he couldn't blame RG3. In fact, outside of Shanny's first season, the team was always 3-6 through their first 9 games.
  22. I agree with you, but with the way they have all been on Shanny's nuts, it wouldn't surprise me if they tried to give him some credit.
  23. Nah, then it will be, "We can thank Shanahan for building the foundation here for McCloughan and Gruden to have success".
  24. Hell, I'd rather listen to Vinny tell some racquetball stories than to have to listen to Grant/Danny/Sheehan drool all over Shanahan like he's the best coach in NFL history.
  25. Honestly, do fans really give a **** what Shanahan has to say any more? I don't get the obsession with him around here. Can we bring Zorn in for his take? What about Sherm Smith?
