  1. Not to sound like a hater, but there is an article I was reading about how Ginobioi, Duncan, and Parker all took less than the max to stay together. Yet it made everyone upset when the Heat players did it. On the flip side being in LA its easy to see how Kobe's cap number is a detriment.
  2. Both Cole and Norris are backup level pg. Thats what happens when you put all your eggs in the big 3. Spurs front office has destroyed everyone else over the past 15 years. The old Parker Duncan Ginobilli are enough but when Green and Leonard put up the numbers they did tonight... pretty crazy. Splitter also had quality minutes in the first half. I have to wonder if thats the best shooting percentage for 2 teamates in an NBA finals game. Wade went for 22... problem was his d... Green and Leonard were 17/21 and all misses were from 3 pt.
  3. I called it a dagger because I dont see them getting to 97... we will see. Seems like Heat need a miracle and Allen blowing layups is not gonna help. Sorry JVG... that was all Allen blowing the layup because he did not know where he was on the court and maybe thought about dunking it but was not decisive.
  4. Parker 3 to put them up with 6:50...DAGGER! Heat wont get to 97.
  5. Down 10 with 9 min left? Seems like Lebron and Duncan both not scoring much... Lebron has done a ton of passing, Leonard playimg him well on d...
  6. Lebron a quiet 2nd quarter. Spurs are so deep talentwise... its ridiculous.
  7. I am serious. The greatest PF of this generation would have Mailman's offense, Duncan's defense and Garnett's talking to himself intensity. I don't hold it against Malone that he had to face Jordan all the time. I had this debate with my co-workers... perhaps we think it is closer than everyone else.
  8. Duncan had a good ballfake on Birdman yesterday. I think it was when he missed 2 FTs. Incidentally, even though Duncan has the legacy stats I am not sold on him over Malone or Garnett as GOAT of this era. They all great players but vintage Malone could pour in points. Both Duncan and Garnett hold the defensive edge. I cant even compare to the previous era.
  9. Doesn't that describe a Jordan-like game plan? For awhile I have hated Lebron... primarily going back to the Cleveland years and destroying the Wizards during that time. I even hated him early in the Miami period, but now I've come to enjoy watching his greatness. Guy is the best player in league and has been face of the NBA. He's been af the Jordan level for awhile. I have a hard time hating on that level of talent. At somepoint he changed from a Shaq-like small forward abusing his physical skills... it goes back to CLE but if may have been one of the final ECFs of Lebron vs the Celts that started my change of heart. I know his last game was a bad look.
  10. I'll admit to peripherally following the team vicariously through RealGM and ES Wizard forums and then happily watching as much as possible on the national stage for the past month (or so it felt it was a month long ride) and watching the Wizards against the Lakers/Clippers when they were here. So here's my thoughts: 1) This season was the best season the Wizards have had in a long time, since 2005. I made a post somewhere about how I loved watching this *team* and they had a great rapport with each other. 2) I will get killed here but bring Whittman back! He brought to team to the next level! They were the 5th seed and won a playoff game with him at the coach! Why not give him a chance to take the Wizards further? He had nothing to do with how the players responded, fought, and came together? Maybe I'm biased because this team grew up before our eyes, especially BEAL. But I would try to keep the core together. Wall+Beal for obvious reasons, Nene because of how he destroyed Noah (oh, we are so quick to forget!), Gortat because of his energy and I like his attitude, and Ariza because well, he would be the one I wouldn't mind if he moves so space was made for Porter. I think this whole team was something special with the way guys fought for each other and genuinely meshed as a team. Especially Wall+Beal+Gortat, but I can't leave out Nene and Ariza. Did I mention how much this year was surprisingly awesome and enjoyable to be a Wizard fan? So what I hope for the offseason is something like "Grunfeld pulls a strech-4 out of a hat" or "Booker makes some miraculous strides at jump shooting". But hey, that's much better than "Maybe Javale won't be a knucklehead" and we get to to through an offseason where we don't have to care whether or not Vesely is on the verge of Nowitzkiness... but ahhh... Satoransky!
  11. What is funny to me is that Crawford changed the ruling to Nets ball after the original call.
  12. ok NBA... Pierce should have been on line.... worse refball than last night including the no call on Lebron and jj called for foul doing the same.
  13. Questionably why ball wasnt in jjs hand for previous Nets possession. Lebron not going to CP3 it... Iso to jj...... uh oh!
  14. It was the same contact on both end... and they call Nets for foul. Bradley Beal Sr. there... Luvingston with the post up?!?! Thats the call?
  15. "jobbed" by the letter of the law... but not the spirit.
  16. 12 hours later and still hyped about catching the final 2 minutes. Re: Out of bounds call NBA needs to refine replay ala NFL. Allow a foul in that situation. The refs are painted in a corner if they believe Barnes got all ball, butcannot change the call. What happened last night was the least of all evils..prolly even better than a foil. Re: CP3 I was shocked OKC didn't foul on the Crawford shot. Such fail from CP3. First the pass to Crawford for a bad possession; then the cheap attempt for 3 FTs. Is the coach or player at fault? All you need to do is dribble it beyond halfcourt! I was all set to sleep when Clips were up 7. Funny how Clippers supporters want to axe replay instead of improve it. Sure, Clippers got jobbed... but replay is good and ignoring clear evidence... stupid. Up 7 with 50 seconds left... but forgot that Clippers are Wizards West... #SoClippers.
  17. Heres the problem with replay. The refs believed Barnes got all ball (not wrist). So what can they do when replay shows all wrist? Its not what they saw on the floor.... but they ae in catch 22 situation.
  18. Lol at Barnes. The only reason it went off Jackson is because Matt Barnes hits his wrist. TNT guys got it... 100% agree with Barkley. Show the CP3 turnover!
  19. I am glad Rivers is talking about flawed replay system.
  20. It has been obvious the officials already run the review to give the ball back if it goes out on a foul.
  21. Ghe more Rivers yells the more he bails out CP3. Horrible ball protection and I want to see that turnover again.
  22. NBA so rigged... I nearly turned it off. They need to fix the replay system.. this is all becase they couldn't legally overturn the call.
  23. Paul George with a disappearing act. I was so worried after the full Lebron. Love the job the coaching staff has done to get the team buying into defense. I loved it during last series, but team playing beyond my expectations here (note only games Ii can see are against LA). I said it way back but I love this group of guys. Wish for a miracle young big man... but Gooden might do the trick... he has been amazing. I loved him taunting the crowd... WWF style. I love this teams effort. Whit needs some credit for that. I mean, these pieces have come together and are giving the #1 seed a huge run. It is so enjoyable to watch these games... this one in particular. Just like a video game....
