  1. That was a charge, Horford pushed him in the back with a forearm though. Huge free throws here from Wall.
  2. That Isiah Thomas miss on the layup needed a classic Chick Hearn " HE BLOWS IT!"
  3. Folks I give you Jeff Sessions, AG: https://www.justice.gov/opa/press-release/file/965896/download To para-phrase, mandatory minimum sentences are good, more jail is good, and more sentencing is good. Oh and btw, War on Drugs is good, and we're only going after very dangerous, very bad people, that sell very dangerous, very bad drugs.
  4. Top to bottom, Boston is just the better team and play better basketball. Even if we could play consistent defense, Boston isn't just sitting there wide open all day, they're able to execute plays. e.g. Look at each play, double high screen, high pick and roll, especially at 43 seconds, whatever that play is. You can tell, they can execute when called upon, and they fire that rock around the perimeter like its practice. We can run a pick and roll too... but you can easily take that away from us. Or Beal can get hot, but you can guard him off the ball, easily get him out of rhythm. We can't run an offense to get Beal nice looks in rhythm. (off a screen, off a flare, little curl type shots, etc) This is basketball though, and the Wiz can put the best 5 guys on the floor at any given time, which gives us a chance even against the Lebronaliers. Really want to see us play CLE; hope we can stretch this to 7.
  5. Welp, on to the Senate then. Remember, while you can force a 51 win vote with reconciliation, you can't pass comprehensive health-care reform from reconciliation alone. It only applies to the parts of the law that directly effect the federal budget and its tricky to argue what does and doesn't. The ACA passed a 60-39 Senate vote prior to the reconciliation votes the Dems used to get it through.
  6. The Democratic closer just ripped the GOP a new one. Got a standing applause. Republican closer trying to match his passion. Not doing as good a job. Biggest problem, is that the Republicans have to sell that Obamacare is bad, but they can't sell that their plan is better. *Senate voting atm. Sorry to be confusing btw, the House will vote the actual bill. The Senate, which is discussing the bill went to a procedural vote. Was trying to say the senate floor debate was now over.
  7. Who knew health care was so complicated? *On a serious note, I really see no Republican model for health-care that makes any sense besides you 100% dismantle the FDA and change the entire health industry to where we are all free to go see whatever quack, cheap-ass, Dr Nick, Wal-Mart Medicine we want. Not sure we could get through the pains of that process to where it would need to be. People are too greedy.
  8. Not sure what happened, but the story seems like a spin-off of the books and not the Dark Tower series. I think its supposed to be a sequel, or take place after the books? Not sure. Obviously the project was too ambitious for their original idea - I think they were going to do 3 movies and a tv-series in-between - and this is the unfortunate end result. Looks like your average action/sci-fi flick. With Elba+McConaughey it should be a cool, fun movie. I'll still see it. As a Dark Tower adaptation, looks like **** though. It almost looks like a fanboys worst nightmare. Now see why everyone complained when they casted Elba. That doesn't look like Roland the Gunslinger at all, it looks like Idris Elba in a leather jacket. And that's what people didn't want, not that Roland can't be a black guy, but that the character would be changed. Kind of hard to explain, but the character is more The Gunslinger, then the individual person Roland of Gilead. (physically the character should appear as close to a caricature as possible) Or at least, that should be a journey throughout the entire story finding out who Roland truly is, and why he does what he does. If you understand that, then you can understand the entire 7 book series. What's so disappointing to me, even from a Hollywood-business aspect, is the mediocrity. And not just making a mediocre movie, the mediocrity all around. This story has so much potential just from a marketing aspect. This story breaks the 4th wall all the time and goes in and out of parallel worlds. (King is writing the story himself in the story, etc) You could do some sort of promotions from inside the movie, making it appear a character from inside the movie is trying to contact you. Or something that implies the story has a life of its own. You could plant some roses, symbols important to the story, make some fake websites, like what LOST did when it came out. Maybe if you find a rose something cool happens. I also see no link to Magic in the trailer. Seems like they want to separate this film from a Harry Potter at all costs. But again, I see huge potential there for some cool marketing with those types of folks that love these books. People who identify as Wiccan for example. Maybe some goofy publicity stunt at a Wiccan festival.
  9. Not this time shorty. *Anyone else think we should've saved that TO? Even just for the in-bound....
  10. That's REALLY amazing defense from Gortat there on IT. Actually stayed in front of him
  11. You gotta be ****ting me. Gortat for moving screen. How ironic.
  12. Interesting turn of events. 3 straight off ball fouls. Works I suppose.
  13. Solid, solid from Smith. Playing with confidence on both ends of the court. Love it.
  14. Nice recovery Otto, with the hustle getting back. (get's blessed with 2 missed FTs) Bad turnover before that though.
  15. Jason Smith doing work. Brad man.... not sure he can shake it off tonight. !!!THROW IT DOWN BIG MAN!!!!!!!!!
  16. I did not set any bars, nor justify anything. I simply pointed out that the Republicans have in fact, pushed Tom Price's under John McCain's leadership for the last 6 years, and yes that includes 4 iterations, all the committees, getting it to vote, and every other step that gets legislation to be put in front of the POTUS and enacted into law. (again reconciliation vote) Now that plan was certainly political fodder, or for show as Peter says, but with Tom Price himself being our next Sec. of Health (most likely) I'm going to go out on a giant leap and claim that ultimately their plan, whenever they get to it, will be iteration #5.
  17. Reality just doesn't fit the narrative that the Republicans don't have a plan. They may have a bad plan, or the plan may not match conservative rhetoric/values, but they have put forth a plan nearly every single year for these past 6 years. (or at least 4 of 6) And they passed one through the House and Senate. (through budget reconciliation) Why haven't they put forth a plan right now? Who knows, but Tom Price hasn't been confirmed yet, which is obviously one reason why they haven't put forth their plan yet. Of course its possible that Tom Price's plan is a big dog-turd and they know it, but I doubt that's the case. (the "they know it" part )
  18. Again, this is simply not true. Though as of right now, they haven't put forth a replacement yet. Tom Price's plan has gone through 4 iterations, and passed in 12/2015. (can read it here: Empowering Patients First Act ) Again, I'll assume the new plan will be another iteration of this plan. Since Obama would obviously veto any ACA repeal, no one really focused on the actual plan, but everyone fought over the defunding of Planned Parenthood. (*at the time)
  19. Care to loan me a few hundred million? I have an amazing growth plan for my business!!!!!!!
