If it was a modest move up Id also be ok with Parsons but I know many are afraid of the off field stuff (understandably).

Yea he basically says they could do anything and everything... yeah no kidding. What would be strange is if they traded up since Eagles already traded down... Doesn't make a lot of sense to now trade up.. but I suppose if someone falls a little that they like anything is possible.

The off field stuff scares me a bit after some of the knuckle heads we have had on this team (Guice, Haskins, Cravens...) but assume if that's one of their targets they have vetted him and feel good about him with this locker room. If that is the case and he is the pick it immediately makes our Defense better. Moving up a few spots for himwouldn't upset me. Getting him at 19 would be wonderful but not likely.

You think JOK goes before 19? Every mock I’ve seen except one has him 19-30. Obviously mocks don’t mean much but I wouldn’t move up for him when he could be had at 19

I like Parsons the player but that's to much to give up IMO. Parsons has some real off the field concerns. Im probably dreaming but Im hoping he slides to 19 and if he doesn't then I like JOK or one of the other LBs. Edit I think I read that wrong... you are thinking Detroit would give us their 3rd? I don't see them doing that with swapping 1sts for Scherff but if they did Id be up for that I think. Only reason we move up in my mind is for a QB though.

Question is who wants to take on a very good Guard who wants to be paid. Obviously the Scherff team knows the cap goes up next year so they want big money before signing any new long term deal. The highest paid guard in the league is a bit of a luxury for most teams. If he is moved I think it will be for another player and/or mid round picks.

There is a strong likelihood that LB is a target in the first (depending on what happens at QB and OT). For discussion sake it seems like Parsons, JOK and Collins are the consensus best 3. If all were available who fits our D the best? Who would RR prefer personality wise? There seems to be arguments for each and I’ve seen all three mocked to us at 19. A mock I saw this morning had Parsons sliding past us to 20-something and going after the other two.

Great question... It has for me. I was wanting to move up for one of the QBs. Now Im dreaming about Parsons sliding to us or taking an OT like Darrisaw. I get the importance of the QB position but the chances (IMO) of hitting on who we could possibly trade up for (and paying out the nose to do so) aren't great based on history. For this reason I like the idea of a near guarantee of improving the team by taking a Blue chip LB or OT. Parsons, Collins or JOK fills a weak spot in our D for a decade.

Lance is a total enigma. A team is going to take him early at some point in the first round and they will do so without knowing much about his on field ability. Its really interesting... He's been very good in very limited work with a possible very high ceiling. Curious what Ron and co think about him but we will never know as he won't be within reach I don't think. Wouldn't be surprised if he goes to the 49ers at #3 or Falcons (or trade partner) at #4. Surely won't last past #9. Assuming we are out of reach (or desire to pay what it takes or just not that willing to take the risk) of Lance (or Fields) this draft seems ripe for a quality LB or OT pick. With LBs, Parsons won't fall to 19 but JOK or Colins may be there. Highlights of each are a joy to watch - love JOK but not sure about the fit. O-Line, Sewell and Slater will be gone so maybe Darrisaw will be there. While not as sexy, building the O-line and using a top pick on that side of the ball is needed. Hoping they can find Gems in middle rounds that we aren't talking about now but will be amazed by in coming years.

Harris could be a game changer. I like game changers at #19. I know I'm dreaming but would love Pitts - a potentially great TE would be an awesome addition. My guess is we end up with someone like S Trevon Moehrig.

QBs are just so damn valuable. If only we could draft one that panned out... going to take 4 firsts for Watson.

I in no way want an overpriced vet. QBs are causing us cap difficulties as is. My preferences... A. Bring back Kyle and draft (mid round) a prospect AND/OR B. Sign Mariota for a reasonable price and let he and Kyle battle it out. Maybe we would get lucky like Titans did with Tannehill. Not excited about the contract numbers for a Ryan, Stafford etc. No interest in Cam. Winston has some upside but more down I think.

Its been said over and over by many but what a great player and dude. Quickly becoming my favorite player on the team. If things stay on track he will go down as one of the best draft steels by this organization. I don't think his value to this team can be overstated.

Feel the same. I haven’t been impressed by his off the field personality but that’s not a big issue if his on the field ability Worthy of a starting QB. Haskins is a disappointment plain and simple. Need to build the O Line and fill holes in other places and find a QB in FA or the draft. to bad as the NFCE is up for grabs by a mediocre team.

So is there anyone here still holding out hope for Haskins? Curious.
